I was at a wedding last friday.

Dear Couple that fast dances or dances to hip hop in their intro or first dance,

You havent jumped the Shark at all. What you do is really fresh, if not downright innovative.

Sincerely, The Macarena, Planking, and the giant sunglasses fad

If you did it in 2011 or earlier, you are exempt.

So you mean that Frank C. shouldn't Tebow after she says "I do"?

My favorite part of weddings is when almost every single wedding that I have ever been to introduces the bridal party with the Chicago Bulls intro song or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTKz956YWYE.

That was awful. Their parents are probably hiding in shame.

All bridal party introductions are lame.

Not mine, we did a Running Man thing where we shot them down a tube at super high speeds and they came out in the middle of the dance floor.

Intros with white people awkwardly dancing make me cringe. That's why I had wheelbarrowed out at a wedding last summer.

I've liked the couple bridal party intros I've taken part in. There is probably no other time in my life where a crowd of that size will cheer when I walk into a room.

We had the DJ do the cheesy intro, intro. Everyone was facing the doors in anticipation, and we all snuck through the door nearest the head table and were standing there, drinks in hand, when everyone turned around. SHOCK! AWE!

We had to walk down from a balcony at my sister's. There was a gate at the bottom of the stairs...that was locked. So, instead of the DJ just stopping or at least stalling, he kept calling peoples' names so that eventually, everybody except the bride and groom where on this staircase. Finally somebody from the kitchen came and unlocked it.

You should have all hopped over it, Disorder In The Court style...

All bridal party introductions are lame.

When/if I get married, the men are being introduced to "Sacred Icon Suite 2" while Jeff Steitzer (or a soundalike) makes exaggerated commentary...

...this doesn't dispute DB's comment...also probably takes me getting married out of the equation.

In 2006, my wife and I were introduced to Crazy Train.
After the stupid car commercial intro part. You know, when the Guitar cuts in.

Weddings blow. I usually want to skip them. I hate the small talk with strangers
at your table, the bad music and now they have the photo booth ??

I can agree with that. Weddings can be a huge drag. We tried to cut out all the bullshit at our wedding, and people seemed to have a good time. We didn't do the introductions (cuz they're ghey), we did away with the bouquet/garter toss, the cake cutting ceremony, and all the other bullshit that brings a fun party to a screeching halt. We had a dinner, and then 3-4 hours of partying after that. Let people enjoy themselves, and they will have a fun time.

I like weddings. I just get so shitfaced so quickly that I become 'that guy' at the wedding. For being around people I dont really know, being 'that guy' is awesome. I'm slipping the bartender 20 bucks to pour me shots all night even though they arent supposed to. I dont really give a shit about my co-workers great aunt from Philly. Blow me.

  That's living right there, my friends.

Ours is going to have all of the standard traditions. It will be a big party, but there will be the cake and bouquet and all that jazz. She wants it that way, the parents do, and I'm pretty much indifferent to most of that crap anyway. If that sort of stuff bothers you than guess what, its open bar. Deal with the little bit of lameness and get rip roarin' drunk! The music, however, will not suck. There will be some of the traditional dance numbers, but there will be some good stuff too.
