I don't understand these things any more than I understand football players being unable to call a cab after drinking too much or Jerry Sanduski thinking he would never be caught.

My SIL is a teacher in the NW suburban school system. She says they are repeatedly warned not to get into any relationships with students, even on facebook.

It wouldn't be hilarious, but it shouldn't be a crime. The guy should obviously lose his job, but if the person is above the age of consent, and it was consensual relationship, I don't think his life should be ruined in jail. They are looked on as people in a position of responsibility. I've heard many
stories of how some male teachers used their jobs as a way to "get with" young girls in my own school district. It's really sick,not much different than Sandusky,really.
