Warning this message used the PED New Castle beer.
If you're a contender why would you not want a guy who can steal a base on any catcher in baseball?
Would a team with a top 15 farm system give say a #4 prospect?
I think they might.

When you see those stats they are from him starting. No one is trading for a pinch runner which is what he would be on a contending team. I can't see a team cutting a position player and burning a roster spot on him in only that role.

The PED FLying Dog Raging Bitch was used during this response.

How's the ~9% ABV Raging Bitch? Bought a 6 pack while in Michigan last weekend and left it there without even trying one.

Yes he would only be a situational runner or do a double switch where he leads off an inning and bunts.
I'm too busy drinking and watching drunk chics but if you made a list of potential 5th outfielders lil Tony would be a huge upgrade over most.FOR HIS SKILL SET.

Don't forget that he has absolutely no arm.

They might get a low level prospect from the right team, but nothing of substancial value.

Why? Someone so knowledgeable about the college game should be able to provide a better explanation than the simple Sox meatball homer "no"

Only a NL team is trading for him as I agree he is only a pinch runner / late inning Defensive player.

Then you need a team that doesnt already have good speed at that 4th or 5th OF position.

A team in a race.

Very limited market

I would not trade him. Let him be your 4th or 5th OF.

If your team becomes good you start looking for win more 1 run games and this is where Campy is worth something.

+ 1

Limited trade value so keep him as he is an ideal 5th outfielder/pinch runner.

Down 3-2, bottom 7th, get a LaHair, Rizzo, Soto, Baker, hit...

Bobby Cox might trade for him...just to have around the house to get stuff quick.

Can't argue with that.
I think the Cubs really sucked their way into a great spot heading into the trade deadline.

Trade value? no...he is fast and that is it..why keep him?..this team is not going to need a 5th outfielder/pinch runner any time soon...the problem with bringing him in for late inning defense is he sucks in the outfield..turns singles into doubles/triples...and no team is giving anything up of worth for a pinch runner.

why would you trade a uniquely skilled utility player who you pay the minimum salary

The Cubs have traded him before.

How many guys have had seasons with more stolen bases than plate appearances?
