Can't imagine Theo would mortgage service years over a few games.

Iowa Cubs say not injury related. I don't think they would even consider trading him, so no clue what this is about. Very odd.

Reports are he's retiring. Thank the Maker. I'm tired of all this nonsense.

Can't stand all the people shouting to "temper enthusiasm" and to "not get sooo excited." I haven't see or heard a single person with any unrealistic expectations for him. No one is putting him in the HoF. I haven't even heard a person say he will help the Cubs win a single extra game. None of that stuff is on Twitter, here, radio, etc. Everyone is just excited. That's normal. Especially in a season where there is nothing else to care about.

Media people addressing fabricated excitement is really fucking lame.

This is why I wish they brought him up at the start of a long road trip or at least a road trip.

His batting stance doesn't look anything like the one on Fangraphs. He's been hitting all year in AAA. I wonder when and why he made these changes.

I would applaud Swaimer for pulling Wells' dead ass out of the game but I'm guessing he has a blister or some shit that required him to leave the game and start drinking across the street in Wrigleyville.

He walked earlier. And this is a by product of continuing to bench his ass against lefties -- makes him push too hard to "perform" against righties.

He's lost all confidence in his "stuff" and his days as a ML pitcher are pretty much over.

To bad.

Valid point. I have no clue why Svuem benches him vs lefties.

Let the man play!

A local Springfield channel carries the WCIU games. Except for tonight, that is. The cocksuckers pick tonight to have technical difficulties, the pricks.
