He said bad movies, not excellent, well made, important pieces of American cinema.

2 days from now, Ted. :D

Although, a lot of critics (including Ebert) are giving it a thumbs up.

Ebert is dead to me.

Although I admit I still want to see it.

Speed is a good one.
Con Air
Broken Arrow
I might get crushed for this one but I always liked the Legend of Baggar Vance.

By the way, "Speed" is one of the best movies of the '90s, and I have that on DVD. When it comes to "bad" movies, the first and last name in bad movies is Adam Sandler. Critics can't stand his movies, but they always seem to make a lot of $$$$ for the studio.

Some might refer to it as a "bad" movie, but I dig Adam in "Happy Gilmore", complete with Bob Barker smacking Adam in the face on the golf course after Sandler's character utters "The Price is Wrong, Bitch!"

Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison are two of the best comedies of all time.

Why are you all listing Speed? That movie was liked by most. I thought we were talking about movies that most people and/or critics hated.

Speed was ruined for me by the forced romance. It was both unnecessary and unbelievable. If they would have played it as purely an action flick then I would have enjoyed it.

When people think of Tim Robbins, they think of Nuke Laloosh or Andy Dufresne, but I always think of him as Phil Blumburtt.

I move that the Lodge censure you for typing that.

Hercules
Clash of the Titans (Harry Hamlin ... I do not recognize the existence of the one with Qui-Gon)
Haunted Honeymoon
The Last Starfighter
Moon Over Parador
Surviving the Game
Krull
Dead Alive
Clue (I don't know if that counts as a bad movie ... it's really entertaining frankly, but with you weirdos who knows)

I don't count any movies that were only watched as part of MST3K, but there are a few I might sit through again without the commentary.

Well there are so many Lodge-type of movies that were critically panned, I figured there was no need to type those.

we've done threads like this in the past and people usually confuse themselves by listing parodies of bad movies (i.e. "mars attacks", "last action hero") with actual bad movies...movies that were just poorly made or well made but just horrible, yet still fun.

here's the ultimate list (excluding some that have already been mentioned, like "howard the duck" and "krull" and anything viewed by MST):

computer beach party
troll 2
the room
megaforce
blood freak
knight chills
birdemic
criminally insane
battlefield earth
carnosaur
the pit
the gate
jaws 4: the revenge
ghoulies
maniac cop
pet sematary 2
child's play 3
friday the 13th part V
nightmare on elm street part 2
the wicker man (remake)
the fly II
poltergeist II & III
roadhouse
commando
pieces
deathwish 2
murphy's law
kinjite
maniac
the stuff

and there's probably even more...but ALL of these movies mentioned were never intentionally badly made, and that's why they're so damn hilarious.
