He pretty much sucks as much as anything. There are at least a few great songs detailing his unadulterated suckage.

This one is called "Fathers and Sins". It's by a band out of Minneapolis I played a few shows with in the late 80s or early 90s. They were fucking awesome.

This one is by a band called the Yayhoos led by Dan Baird of Georgia Satellites semi-fame. This song was written and sung by Eric "Roscoe" Ambel. Roscoe has been around a long time. He played the lead on "I Love Rock 'n' Roll". He originally just played some junk as filler and figured he'd go back later and record the real solo, but Joan Jett and Kenny Laguna insisted on leaving it the way it was. He also has played in Steve Earle's band.

Roscoe owns a great little bar on Avenue C in Manhattan called Lakeside Lounge. I'm pretty sure that where Ryan Adams found a lot of trouble. I would have figured that douche would hang out at Manitoba's.

Anyway, here it is:

Did I happen to mention Hank Jr. sucks?

Watch out JORR. I think bocephus bashing brings out the worst in rnm and umn.

I think everytime the painter calls up Mac and meat they should play a rendition of rockin randall's " if the south would've won.

The best thing Hank jr ever produced was Hank 3. He is awesome.

Agree on Hank 3.

While I wouldnt go out of my way to download his songs from ITunes, and don't agree with his political views and am not a big fan of his lyrics, Hank Williams Jr. is actually a pretty solid all-around musician. Having seen him live twice now, he plays a lot of instruments and is very solid on the piano.

You either Love Bocephus or hate him. He is a different style of country then his daddy, and Hank III is a mixture of both. I like some of his blues covers, for a white guy he can sing the blues. Yes he has done the tongue in cheek songs, but he has sung some songs that have struck home to a big part of the working man/blue collar community.
