What do you do as couples when you want to see 2 diff movies and really don't want to see the one the othre wants?

A. GO to both together and one suffers.

B. Find times compatible at the same theater. Have dinner before go to the movies seperately and meet up afterwards for a wild night of not watching the Cubs game? (euphemism for sex)

Do any couples, ever, go to the movies and see separate movies? That's what you did with your parents when you were like 13.

If we both don't want to go see a movie, we don't go see it. Seems like a simple enough solution.

If it's a chick movie she goes with her friends or mom. If it's a movie I want to see I'll wait until it comes out on DVD.

Compromise.

We pick movies we think the other wouldn't absolutely loathe.

For instance, She picked Friends with Benefits and I chose Avengers.

My wife and I aren't big movie goers...if there is a movie I want to go see...I usually end up seeing it by myself. I am a cheap ass and go before noon on the weekend so I don't pay a whole lot.

The whole point of seeing a movie is seeing it together. Unless you've been married for like 30 years and don't really care about the integrity of date night then sure, do whatever. If you're just dating or something, then keep chiseling down the line. No movie in common in the theater? Go rent/redbox. Nothing there? Bar/coffee/dinner, etc. Why split hairs over spending $30 at a theater.

Oh sure, I will see Magic Mike or A Walk to Remember....but the price is a "stiff" one. As in she will be missing the previews because my stiffy is in her mouth.

Light them up, Chicago.

She's going to see what I want...if she wants to see it too, then everyone is happy.
