That's as dopey as saying "I've never seen a Cub fan who doesn't care more about having a few drinks at the park than he does about the team on the field."

All fanbases have meatballs and morons. In fact, since the Cubs fanbase is so immense, it could be argued that there are more meatball and moron fans than any other sporting team.

Not that I would make such a statement.

I cannot stand Theo Epstein - Boy Genius at large.

I am predicting that he will fail miserably. Since the White Sox play in the biddie ball division, I predict that the answer to the question is infinity.

IMU stop being a dumbass. Boyd is an easy example off the top of my head of a Sox fan you say you've never seen before.

I've had beers with him a-plenty...he brings up the Cubs all the time like they all do.

You're straight up Elmhurst-lying if you say he acts like more of a Cub hater than a Sox fan. Don't be a liar.

Same here. And while I'm admittedly not a huge baseball fan I'm pretty sure I act like more of a Sox fan than a Cub hater also. IMU is just trolling. Not very well either.

Again, every fanbase has meatballs.

I've said in the Theo threads that I hope he succeeds. I'd be happy for my Cub fan friends.

I'm pretty sure you're just being the Cub good dolphin. Well done.

A high percentage of Sox fans dislike the cubs. I would say there are a small pct who actually hate the Cubs more.

Being a cub fan, IMU is exposed to the hate more. If he were a sox fan, other sox fans might talk about how awesome the Sox are instead of how bad the cubs are.

Anyway....What if the Sox clinch on Sept 24 and the Cubs the next day, would that count as before? or is it just years?

As Peeps was saying, you could reverse what you just said and it would be equally true. This board shows as much.

Another example of a Cubs-indifferent Sox fan - Kid Cairo.

Just admit you were trolling IMU.

If you are saying that hating the Sox is as big a part of Cub fandom as the other way around, I wholeheartedly disagree.

Its not close. Hating the Cubs is part of being a Sox fan for many. Hating the Sox is usually a response to that hate but it could never match the original hatred.

I dont agree that the Cub hate is bigger than the Sox love though. Infact, I consider the Cub hate PART of the Sox love for some.

When I troll the Packers fan threads does that make me more obssessed with Packer hate than Bear fandom?

No, that wouldn't fit their narrative as well.

There isn't one Sox fan here who posts more about the Cubs than the Sox.

No, Im right.

I grew up on the southside amongst many Sox fan cub haters.

Ive lived on both sides of the city for years and have gone to both stadiums for years. I dont think there is anyone more qualified to answer this than someone like me.

There is a reason the South Side Irish song contains a line about the two favorite clubs being the White Sox and whoever plays the Cubs.

To think otherwise is naive

And to reiterate, all im saying is hating on the other team is way more on the Sox side. Im NOT saying hating the Cubs is bigger than liking the Sox.

I know I am.

Anyone who has been around both fanbases would agree.

And I didnt say yours truly, I said "like me"

I think living and going to games with both fanbases over a period of years gives a pretty good perspective. You disagree?
