How does BTN saying they're not a news network "kill their credibility"?

Leery.....

So the BTN, which basically creates programming like "Best Basketball Players of the 90s" that specifically attempts to include as many schools as possible to placate the most of amount of people has lost "credibility"?

I love the BTN but I have never considered it to be the New York Times or like one of those boring Sunday morning political shows. It's basically the "Hey, you like the Big Ten? Well, here is a bunch of Big Ten programming" channel.

Big Ten Network News is a very trusted brand. It's almost as good as SHARK sports.

I don't get it either. Whenever there's big NFL news, NFL Network pre-empts. Whenever there's big MLB news, MLB Network does the same. NHL Network, NBA TV...You get the idea. BTN should do the same.

Exactly. If they don't claim to have any news reporting credibility, how can they lose it?

Do you really think NFL Network would have covered the Ray Lewis or Mike Vick trial more than in the context of regular shows?

I think they would. Rick, I know for a fact NFLN was all over the death of Raiders' owner Al Davis, and MLBN was all over the Angels' signing of Albert Pujol$ to name a couple. They pre-empted regular programming to cover it. BTN should've been there to cover the Penn State press conference today, just like FOX News Channel, CNN, HLN, TruTV & ESPNEWS to name a few. After all, it's one of their member schools, too.

BTN was all over the death of Joe Paterno and the hiring/firing of him.

NFL Network isn't going to have special coverage of criminal proceedings either.

Another former college football coach, ex-Florida State HC Bobby Bowden, feels Penn State should remove the Paterno statue. That's what sports talk radio host Cory Giger just Tweeted moments ago and Bernsy re-tweeted.

Dumb old racist crackers are dumb old racist crackers until they start having the right opinions, and then we should all listen to them.

That's who should direct the hard hitting, pull no punches biopic/based on true events movie about Dan BernSTINE and his reckless and selfless pursuit of the PSU story. Meetings with "inside sources" in dimly lit parking garages, trench coat wearing, yelling about the truth, explosions and putting himself in mortal danger all to bring this sordid story into the light!

Read an email about some guy meeting up with Quad Cities Pat to start some movement through a church to generate awareness all courtesy of the B/B show. For whatever reason that pulled Dan's sole heartstring.

Dan was crying because a pastor out in the Quad Cities is teaming up with Quad Cities Pat to work on stopping child abuse via the show.

Are they just trying to keep Fred Huebner away from high school basketball games?

Hmmm....this story has really hit Dan deep...I mean real deep. Kind of puts things into a new perspective for me about him.
