Asik sucks. They would be overpaying him for the first two years, not just the last one. The guy plays 15 minutes a game. That's $4000 per minute they will be paying him. That's pretty much what they are paying Derrick Rose.

Is it possible he would be Dwight Howard's backup?

BC, the Bulls seem to think Joakim Noah will get injured at some point when the NBA resumes an 82-game regular season in November. Besides, at last check, Noah didn't recover from his ankle injury suffered in that NBA First Round Playoff bellyflop to the Sixers. He won't play for the French team in the upcoming London Summer Olympics as a result.

It's not my money, but I wouldn't re-sign Asik after a season many thought he regressed.

Omer Asik does sound like a Game of Thrones character.

I think everyone except Deng and Rose are completely overpaid. Because of that, the Bulls are limited in their ability to upgrade the roster in a fashion necessary to actually beat the best teams in the playoffs. Overpaying for Asik will only exaserbate the situation.

Obviously he is supposed to improve. He was a project player when he came over here and he's better and more productive already than they thought he would be after a couple seasons. If he's the same player two years from now that he is now something is wrong.

You think Taj Gibson is completely overpaid?

No, I was embellishing to make a point. I was mostly speaking of the core players where most of the money has been spent. Clearly some players on the roster aren't getting paid much, and someone like Taj deserves a better contract. But the money they are going to spend on Asik is the type of contract Taj should get. Asik hasn't earned anything near that amount.

Noah isn't overpaid. Especially if they were smart and let Asik walk. Then he would play 36 mpg instead of the 30 he played last year and his numbers would look something like 13 ppg, 12 rpg, 3 apg, 2 bpg. That's what you want out of a $12M/year center.

The only real bad contract on the Bulls right now is Boozer....Rip Hamilton is bad money if he can't stay on the floor but isn't that deal up after next year anywhat?

Carlos Boozer's contract is real bad, Phil, and Rip has one more year at $5 million.

Hard to say...Didn't Amare Stoudemire sign a $100 million deal with the Knicks?

Bulls are officially not matching the Asik contract.

Thank goodness. Bring on the great tanking of 2012-2013.

The word is the Bulls will be filling out the rest of the roster with minimum salary guys. What scrubs do you want to see on the floor next season? Scalabrine should be back of course, and hopefully Juwan Howard comes home and finishes a great career in Chicago. Anyone else?

Juwan Howard has what the Bulls don't...An NBA Championship ring. Ditto for Eddy Curry. Neither did a damn thing for the Heat.

Why not just reunite all of the Fab 5? Ray Jackson has to be super available.

Whoever won the Jalen Rose jersey at the last CSFMB Bulls game is going to be super happy, and so will ESPN viewers.

The Bulls are an organization and not a person and they don't make championship rings for inatimate objects. Rip Hamilton has a ring though SHARK. And White Mamba.

I forgot. Rip has one with the Pistons & Brian Scalabrine got his with the Celtics. Ditto HC Tom Thibodeau. My mistakes.
