I went to some Caves nearby and figured I should go while I was there. My children pissed all over my moment but I was still glad I went.

Field of Dreams is great. The Natural has a better "having a catch" last scene.

I read both books in high school before seeing either movie and I loved the books.

Its a great movie, one of the few that is even better than the book, but that line is one of the worst written lines in the history of cinema and STILL bothers me all these years later.

No one in the history of humankind has ever said "do you wanna have a catch". You PLAY catch, you don't have a catch.

To this day that line sounds like nails on a chalkboard everytime I hear it and when giving this movie a final grade, leads to a half star deduction just for that stupid line.

I agree 100%. I tried watching a few minutes of it a month ago, and couldn't stand it.

I just showed my son the Natural. I love it. Major League, great. For the love of the game, ok sometimes. I even get into the Sand Lot.

It's a fucking movie about ghosts appearing from nowhere to play baseball. Who cares how he asks his Dad to throw a baseball around.

If somebody other than Kevin Costner played Ray Kinsella, people would put this up as one of the greatest sports movies of all time.
