A Massachusetts woman has been arrested in Wrigleyville and charged with stalking Theo Epstein, the Cubs’ president of baseball operations.

Kathleen Kearney, 44, of Canton, Mass., was charged with two felony counts of stalking after her arrest around 6 p.m. Monday in the 1400 block of West Addison Street, , police Officer Laura Kubiak said Tuesday.

That’s just blocks away from the 7,800-square-foot mansion Epstein bought shortly after he landed the Cubs job.

It isn’t the first time that Epstein, who was hired in October by the Cubs after nine seasons as general manager of the Boston Red Sox, has had problems with a stalker. Peter Gammons reported last Oct. 26 on MLB.com that an unmarked squad car was frequently stationed on his block due to a stalker when he lived in Brookline, Mass.

Kearney is scheduled to appear in court later Tuesday.
