I didn't want to start a who thread for it. I came across it when I was getting my tickets for Dark Knight.

Midnight showing? Where you seeing it?

Saw today that the Putnam midnight show is sold out now...glad I pulled the trigger on the marathon when I did.

Going to speculate on some stuff here...I'm hardly breaking any ground and I don't know any of this...just things I'm putting together based on the music...but I'll hide it anyways and treat it as a spoiler nonetheless:

The last track on the album, "Rise," sounds like it is the music played over the end credits. However, the first part (37 seconds to be exact) seem more suited to an action scene (also, at the 37/38 section mark, we get that same musical cue that the end credits of the first two movies got)...so...

...I propose that the final scene in the movie is Batman doing something badass, showing us that he is alive and well and still protecting Gotham after all this time.

Of course, it could also be another person as Batman. What the hell do I know?

Edit: I'm actually leaning towards the thought that it is something else as Batman. Word from the first screenings are that there were two really huge moments, one that made people really sad (Bruce Wayne's death?) and one that made them straight up nerdgasm (someone else as Batman?)

Is Dick Grayson supposed to be introduced? That'd be pretty sweet.

I don't think so?

Nolan has said...shit, hilight for the hell of it:

Robin/whatever you want to call him wouldn't be in any of the movies.

I think Batman comes out of it okay.
Not Midnight showing . I am going on Sat at noon at the Moline theaters.

In the opening they pranked everyone by dedicating the film to the deceased Heath Ledger, who was actually the projectionist that evening.

Do you mean Liam Neeson as Ra's al Ghul? Or maybe it'll be Damian Wayne.

I was gonna go with the internet-favorite that Marion Cotliard's character is actual al Ghul's daughter. (The cast list shows an actress for a younger version of her, so maybe?)

You really think Letterman went out of his way to see an advance screening of the movie?

It's a bit.

People David Letterman's age don't care for the moving picture shows.

Letermann said the same thing about that when The Dark Knight came out, so...

...5 days!!!

Slightly off the topic but didn't really want to make another thread for it. Went to the casino last night and laid my eyes on this bad boy for the first time:

I've never really enjoyed playing slots but this was really fun...felt more like a video game than a slot machine...especially loved the bonuses they had...first time I played I put 40 in and won over 110 on the bonus...

Reviews are trickling in as the critics who saw the screening unveil their articles this morning. Seeing a lot of A's, 8/10, 9/10, but to avoid spoilers I haven't been able to read why it's not getting that perfect 10 or universal praise.

The main things that I'm thinking are going to hold this movie back from glowing reviews across the board is that it's a trilogy capper and there's no Heath Ledger oscar-worthy support in the cast.

Lines like, "This isn't a car" don't exactly help either.

Looks like Film.com needed some traffic....

To go as far as to include the Schumacher films is pretty desperate.

That review was a fake...he was trying to prove a point...I'd say he failed, whatever he was trying to accomplish.

The response of the fanboys has been mixed...saw some pretty humorous responses...

"His punishment must be more severe!"

"He isn't the reviewer we needed, but he's the reviewer we deserved...so we will flame him, because he can take it..."

Went to pick up my tickets last night...told me they still haven't decided how they are going to seat people for the midnight showing...

...I would think shelling out for three movies at the theater would afford me the luxury of not having to go to the back of the line following the second movie, thus all but assuring me of a shitty seat, but what do I know?

This movie scared me as a kid. I think the villains dehydrated a room of U.N. Ambassadors or something.

Got tickets for 345am Friday morning show at IMAX in New Lenox. I'm assuming the midnight show is going to be packed and a dummy or two in costume. Figured it would be a better crowd and there will be a few people that are going to watch it twice.

What's the best IMAX theater in the Chicago area? If I find myself in the area in the next couple months, I could take a detour for three hours or so...
