Now that we have that cleared up.....let's say hypothetically that one of those girls made a really, really crappy solo album that I may or may not still own to this day?

You're on your own with that one. They kinda died for me with Resolver when one of them left the band.

"Most 90s music" isn't really specific enough, otherwise we'd all have 300 on that list.

In reviewing the list, they probably love all of the shit that IMU listens to.

This board is rife with musical dopes that in most cases are too young to listen to an 'album' as a presentation piece, rather than a random mish-mash of songs that they could effortlessly skip over, randomize, and so forth .... never mind that many of their 'hits' don't suffer from what I call "Def Leppard" disease, a condition where every fucking song sounds the same .... the disease did briefly mutate in the early 90s into a strain of "Spin Doctors" condition, but it was mostly wiped-out in the first world.

The only one I have on there is a cassette (somewhere) of Men at Work's Cargo.

This is the story of Dr Heckle and Mr Jive.

Just for shits and giggles, I Amazon-downloaded a 2012 Pitchfork band that received attention in Greg Kot's review of the event to see what I'm missing- Thee Oh Sees. After one spin, I would estimate that 15-20% of the album I got is listenable entirely because of Surf Rock-esque elements in the guitar (not to be confused with Beach Boys- more The Tornadoes), while the rest is what Yoko Ono's art would sound like if it were made into sounds- mated with Iggy Pop. Cacophonous. Completely worthless.

I never will understand why this concept is so difficult for some people.

I love how "Joe Satriani" is written in small, obsessively severe caps: JOE SATRIANI. I'd bet anything it was written in the heat of passion. Look close enough and you can practically see some paisley-clad waif ditching his fixed-gear bike at the door and racing inside to get even with the dipshit blasting "Surfing With the Alien" out of his Camaro down the block.

And there should be no discussion of the Eagles. Whatever your definition of "atrocious," the atrociousness of the Eagles is beyond reproach. In particular, if you employ the ratio [terrible music produced] : [critical and commercial success achieved], they may be the single worst band in the history of the world.

Their early stuff was great. Then they got a little too... "Eighties"? Hip? IDK

I'm no giant fan of the Eagles, but this may be the single worst message board post in the history of the world.

The Eagles are like the 2011 White Sox.
