Finally watched it,about half hour left. What a hack job. This kind of mud and shit slung at a Liberal would never get passed the
initial stages. Please do not throw up Primary Colors, that was a light hearted jab at Clintons. This was full on hate mongering. Something done on this level to Obama would have Jesse Jackson and the rest of the race-baiting gang up in arms.

What was the problem you had with the film specifically?

Why was it a hack job?

I haven't watched it, so I want to know what to look for.

It showed Palin in the worst possible light. Kept hammering home that she was backwards and stupid. A lying manipulative person who was not genuine in her beliefs. Showing and implying she was crazy and just focused on anything negative with out showing anything positive about her. It was really a hateful look at her. I am now going to read the book it was based on to see what it says.

I've read the book and it shows how staffers became sick and tired of her for going off message and overshadowing McCain.

It also recounts how people in the campaign began regretting the decision soon after her interview with Couric.

chas, do yourself a favor and read the book. The movie was a dramatization of actual events. Circle back after reading and please withdraw your "hackjob" statement.

What do you read?- Katie Couric to Sarah Palin

END OF CAMPAIGN.

So accurate portrayal of events = hack-job?

Have you ever heard Palin speak?

I thought it was a great movie, one of the better non theatrical release films I've ever seen.

Didn't see the movie, but the book was a hacky love letter to Obama and hit job on all who dared to oppose him.

I'm not really seeing anything inaccurate in this

Wrong,no one would have beaten Obama in that atmosphere. It was perfect storm for him.Disgust with Bush, his race, economy, The only thing that could have beat him is if the press went after him like they did McCain and Palin. I got the book, after I finish what I am reading right now it is next on my list.

How did "they" go after McCain? I can't remember a single negative thing about McCain from the entire 2008 campaign. Palin said stupid things and people reported on it. I've only seen the movie, but McCain was portrayed as very honorable person throughout the entire movie.

Yeah. I don't need some flashy HBO movie to tell me what was patently obvious from just a few interviews on TV.
