Maybe he just wanted to have one more game with his teammates and he will ship off afterwards. Maybe.

You've got to let the Shark finish it. He is only at 99 pitches and Marmol is still plenty awful.

Should be a no-no for Shark. Choked by not covering first on that grounder.

Time for some Marmolade. Shark did not look happy with that decision.

Must be looking to showcase him for a trade.

Maybe they're going to bring him in to strike out Pedro Alvarez and then let him hug his kid.

I can't believe he actually got the save for Shark's masterpiece of a game. Still no reason at all to not let Shark finish it with only 99 pitches.

Maybe Marmol can be traded now.

I can't imagine anyone wanting him. Facing Presely and Sutton was a gift for him.

Wouldn't you be ok with Mescaro and Hamilton for Soto and Marmol and be happy?

They are showcasing Marmol, in hopes of trading him. Having him get another save can only help in that reguard. But I agree, that there was no reason Sammy needed to come out of the game. He was dominant in this game. Great game by Bedard as well. Not many good swings from either team, except for those two by Soriano that produced the only runs.

Maholm has his stock rising. With a club option for 6.5 million for 2013, there might be considerable interest in the lefty. But I hope they hang onto him unless they get a real can't-miss stud in return. Maholm is a guy they could keep and build with. Really good starts by Sammy and Maholm to get the first 2 games at PNC. The way the team has played since Rizzo was brought up (more coincidence than effect) I hate to see guys traded now. It has to be done to better stock the minors with much needed pitching. But it's been a fun little run here for a while.

Nothing better than a HR that gets interfered with by the opposing teams fans and is thus ruled a 2b.

Thanks Joe West. Hopefully Hawk was tuned in to see that.

Meaningless in game snapshot...My main man Manuel Corpas comes on in relief, quick tosses 7 strikes, 0 balls and we move along to the top of the 8th. Nice
