And I don't know why LaHairs fan club would have issues since LaHair is still playing everday but has been moved to the outfield.

I am beyond thrilled LaHair has proven me wrong so far.

I'd think his supporters would be dancing naked in the street in joy. They've been shown to be right so far and he's still playing everyday.

however, it's only 40 at bats for RIZZSANITY(TM) and well, matt moore is facing all the adjustments that come with him and he's been fairly consistent and pitching better as of late. matt moore was OMFG #s in the minors and i still think he's a grade A prospect up here, and with brandon beachy going down the long-term future of my pitching core was threatened so now i've got strasburg, bumgarner, moore, and hellickson to spearhead my rotation for the foreseeable future. also, right as rizzo came up my trade partner wanted him so bad he relented and didn't seek jesus montero or vinnie pestano or jake mcgee, the latter two will be closing next year and the former was looking "quite good" save an awful june.

as les grobstein says, time will tell. i'm still scared tho if rizzo ends up being a perennial .300/30/100 bat i prolly done goof'd, i figured there was no way in hell this guy who was seeking way more than i wanted to give up for matt moore would accept the trade as it was... but i still think that i got matt moore on a buy-low opportunity and i sold rizzo relatively high cuz i sold him at a price where he was basically expected to do this. it doesn't help that the sports talk radio promotion machine is all over rizzo like the demigod/adonis he is. there's going to be a surge of kids named anthony in chicago at the rate that we're going.

Then we talked about Barney. I see him as a good 5th infielder in the future but if the rest of the team is solid they could do a lot wose than this guy who plays good D, will hit about 270 with a little pop.

Solid defense and acceptable batting average - yes. But where exactly do you get "a little pop"? His career slugging is .351.

Erik Bedard was 6-10 4.59 his rookie season and 6-8 4.00 his second season. Do you really consider this starting off a career 'very well' or are you just talking out of your ass?

I can only imagine the shit you would give a Cub fan if they made such a comparison of one of their players.

I really like Sale and I hope he goes on to have even close to the career of Johnson. But to make a comparison to Johnson with him only have 15 career starts is just stupid.
