if I were ricketts...in all honesty I would go out and find a deal in rosemont or Arlington heights and say back to the wrigley community & the mayor & city in general..."now what you fuckers?". Watch them jump.

I love the shrine, but Ricketts should have done that on day one. Fuck Alderman Bakery Boy. That neighborhood dies if the Cubs leave and they treat the Cubs like they are beholden to the residents association.

I wonder what the cost might be to build a new ballpark (like Miller park ) in a location like Arlington Park, vs rebuilding Wrigley. I would prefer the traffic and parking in the burbs myself. I would miss the Shrine, but I have been to enough other parks (love PNC as well as Miller Park) that have advantages that an antiquaited ballpark like Wrigley lacks, to know there would be gains as well as losses in such a scenario. But I do wonder which would be more fiscally prudent in the end...

I would love to see the expressions on all the faces of those selfish idiots if the Cubs announced they were leaving the city.

I'm really mostly tired of the whiners who live there and unless they are more than 98 years old the park was there when they moved!

Shut up. Park Ridge has more NIMBYs per square foot than any place in the United States.

Yep, Ricketts missed the boat on this one. McNown is right, if he starts talking about moving the day he bought the team they woudl already have the renovation money and day games would be the minority.

The north shore attitudes without the north shore shore. I'm sure cubbiegirl has never ranted at a Park Ridge City Council meeting against a perfectly logical development.
