He is hitting the shit out of the ball, can absolutely fly on the basepaths and his defense isn't that bad. He has some very nice numbers in Peoria and he hasn't wasn't there for the first month and a half. I think they should shoot him up to Daytona for the last 6 weeks and bring Saunders back to reality and put him in Peoria. Then Baez can start fresh in AA next year.

Really? I wold think out of 4 short stops, Castro would not be the best one defensively

Baez and Lake are too big and will probably get bigger. Saunders is probably better defensively right now than Castro but he has a long way to go before we see if he can actually hit real pitching and not AZL pitching. I think he is also older than Castro by a few months. I don't think Castro has made much of an effort to get better defensively and that will change once he figures out how important it is. That may very well be this off season.

I haven't seen enough of him yet and there is just something about Daytona that makes me not care what your stats are there. Tennessee and Iowa should give us a much better read on him. He can't sit down there forever though because of his major league contract. He is going to run out of options because of that.

Why is Adduci always completely written off. He has done well throughout his minor league career yet never gets mentioned. I would rather see him than Sappelt once Reed is dismantled from the roster.
