Good one, Randal.
Aren't internet friends the best? They always got your back when you need them the most.
As far as eating a dick, I'd start with your mom's, but I just don't seem to have
the upper arm strength to seperate the folds of flab in order to find it.

This is becoming petty shirtless...maybe just diffuse the situation?

Lucky Doug.
As far as there being a "situation", there isn't one to diffuse.
Instead of telling a "trolling asshole" to eat a dick, I merely replied with an equally immature retort.
Randal can feel free to ignore my posts and listen to whatever he wants anytime he'd like.

I originally asked a simple question.

You responded like an asshole.

The mom cracks do nothing, but that's because my mom was an abandoning cuntwhore.

Please, do us all a favor and go back on hiatus.

No, you didn't. Your original one word post was "Hype?", as if you're the arbiter of cutting edge,
yet, you apparently never heard of Twin Shadow. The record must not be getting a lot of attention from Douchebag's Digest,
or wherever else you glean your useful wisdom from.

You responded like an asshole.
No, I didn't. I responded by suggesting that you Google the album, so that you would see
that's it's being almost universally praised, thus creating HYPE. It's really not that fucking complicated.

The mom cracks do nothing, but that's because my mom was an abandoning cuntwhore.

Abandoning cuntwhore. Imagine that!
At least her DNA seems to be alive and kicking in Lake County.
P.S. -I made exactly ONE mom crack, and I thought it was fairly amusing.

Please, do us all a favor and go back on hiatus.
Speak for yourself.
Like I said above, feel free to ignore my posts, especially if your singular intention is to shitcan a record based on the person (me)
or people (fanboy critics) that are recommending it. Your time must be more valuable than that, eh?

I forgot about my affirmation to not argue with the mentally unstable. I apologize to everyone else.

Shitless...I'm sorry your dad's condom broke.

According to Merriam-Webster's definition, you haven't actually argued anything.
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/argument
Pay close attention to 3b.
What you have done is decide to start an arbitrary pissing match with an
internet message board stranger, whom you don't like, over a record you've decided sucks without actually listening to it.
You're that guy who resorts to childish name-calling instead of actually backing up your uninformed opinions
with any kind of substance in the hopes of making all the numbnuts in the back of the class chuckle.
If only you were half as witty as the character in your avatar.....

P.S. I wouldn't deign to opine on the prevalence of condom use as birth control
between married couples on Army bases in the early 1970's, but I do know two things for sure.
1. You're not too bright.
2. My father may have been a lot of things, but "abandoning cuntwhore" wasn't one of them.
Now go listen to Twin Shadow, it may just brighten up your dim existence, if only for 40 minutes or so.

I'd just like to point out that is possible for an album/band to be hyped, and for that album/band to be disliked by a lot of people.

Its also possible for an album/band to have no hype and get blasted by critics, and have a #1 album.

Some people get extremely offended when someone disagrees with their taste in music. Gasp!

This is his normal reaction when someone disagrees with his taste.

You didn't so much disagree with my taste as you smugly dismissed a record on the very merit that I (and fanboy critics) really like it.
You may worship at the barstool of Craig Finn. I can't stand Hold Steady, and I could probably give you 5 reasons why.
One of them probably wouldn't be....
"Because they suck".

I couldn't care less if you disagree with my taste.
The name of this thread is "What are you listening to now?".
I answered it, and you decided to be the prick, not me.

Must be exhausting walking around everyday with that big brain crammed in your melon.
BTW, not that I am one, but you do realize that "military brat" is generally percieved as
a term of endearment, and not one of disparagement, right?

Oh, you didn't know that?

Agreed. "Because they suck" is only a valid reason for hatred when it comes to Vampire Weekend.

False

I gave it a listen before my assessment of "it sucks".

That you, or the other 150 Pitchfork subscribers were loving it meant very little to me.

Sonically, I found it boring and repetitive. It did nothing for me.

As far as your accusation of "worshipping" Craig Finn...that's a giant load of crap, too. I listen to a wide range of music. I could make the same accusation of you with Bono. I don't, because it's just plain stupid.

I stand by my belief that "hype?" was a question as I've never heard of it. I didn't download it. I gave it a listen online. You suggested that I google the title to see the hype, which I see no need to do because I don't give a rats red ass what a critic has to say about roughly anything. Your "pot/kettle picture" was your cute little way of trying to bait me into an argument, a la the Hoffy incident. I'm not going down that path. You drag a "your momma" joke into the argument. That's just dumb. Everything beyond that was merely me reacting to you being a troll.

I stand by my statement that all critics are idiots, though.

I'm done with you now.

The Hold Steady Comment was an analogy, not an accusation. You may or may not think Finn's farts smell like
a dewey rainforest morning, I just don't like his music. Not because "it sucks". I don't like his lyrics, his voice, or the guy with the stupid mustache,
or any myriad of other useless reasons. Pitchfork is just ONE of many so-called tastemakers that have given the TS record a glowing review.
My pot/kettle pic was an illustration meant to prove that we're all idiots, because we're all critics. You apparently think of yourself as the exception to that rule.
Once again, you haven't actually argued anything. You've merely scoffed at and sidestepped the basic point, which is that you apparently
didn't have anything better to do then select random songs on Youtube to form your opinion that Confess sucks because you think it's boring and repetitive and I don't.
The Mama joke was at least snicker-worthy.
In closing, I find it chilling that "I'm done with you now" is a phrase you can toss around so flippantly, in light of your revelation of your mother being an "abandoning cuntwhore".
Whatevs.

But they use ghost writers regardless of it being a solo or compilation

For my money, there is nothing better in hip hop than 4 or more Emcee's competing over a beat
