The high pathetical of a #1 starter vs a slugger can be argued endlessly. What Rickety said about the Starter for post season and position player for regular season seems logical but hard to make the playoffs without a good regular season.

Rizzo is pretty good so far

Did anyone watch MLB network about a week, week and a half ago? They compared Chris Sale to Randy Johnson by putting both their throwing motions side by side. They were nearly identical. Dan Plesac said Chris Sale was the closest thing he's ever seen to Randy Johnson.

And Juan Cruz was the closest thing to Pedro Martinez. Who gives a shit who his delivery resembles when he pitches?

I don't think that sort of detail would stop Sox fans from mocking Cub fans for any sort of comparison. "Cub fans think this guy is Randy Johnson " would be the refrain
