Exactly. Everyone needs to put down the guns & razor blades. The experts who want to fire Phil Emery are just hilarious. Superfans indeed.

Remember, the Bear go 13-3 this year & play the Niners in the NFC Championship game, & Lovie gets a 3 year extension.

This is what happens when you only have 1 round to digest in the first 24 hours.

Yea, I don't like the new NFL draft setup. Waiting a day for the 2nd round doesn't do anything for me.

Now that is not true at all. You have not followed along very well. I have stated several times it was not the pick I wanted and not what I expected at all. But for some folks to go all meatball like the world is ending before the guy has even played one down is just down right stupid.

I am willing to give the guy a chance and the measureables listed with comparison to Jared Allen is pretty nice as well.

Oh and you are more than welcome to visit anytime!

It is unfair to limit this to the Bears section. I'm not referring to you avoiding it, but the bold part.

Exactly.

I'd still hardly call this meatball in comparison to game day threads. There is one piece of football news to focus on after four months of offseason. This is no different than the response when they acquired Marshall. It is just not as positive as some of you rainbow farters would like.

I'm going to give Emery the benefit of the doubt on this pick. Emery hasn't proven he's an idiot yet.

McClellin is weak in the upper body and arms. NFL weight training can take care of that. In his 2nd season I expect him to be ripped and playing at 280 without losing any of his speed.

For this season, I expect him to give QBs hell on 3rd downs. That needs to happen this season. If he's in a rotation this season, you would expect him to get all 3rd downs. Especially 3rd and longs.

That worked with SF with Aldon Smith.

So, when do they move him to outside linebacker, Will, if you will?

I say by August 2013.

Last night, Larry was practically laughing at McClellin's performance in practices thus far. This morning, Hub was pretty much doing the same thing, although he apparently believes Shea can play linebacker. Not good.

Hub also said Alshon Jeffery should eventually be a very good complementary receiver, but will never be a #1 because he lacks both quickness and speed.

McClellin was getting dominated in practice by rookie-free agent James Brown. As my 22-month-old is fond of saying: "Uh-oh!"

Just evidence of how good James Brown is. - per Hub

Yes, Hub likes James Brown a lot. based on what he was saying this morning, Hub seems to think Brown will eventually start at one of the tackle spots for the Bears.

But he doesn't think Chris Williams, who apparently was also dominating McClellin, can play in the NFL. Uh-oh!

I believe it was. Unfortunately, however, the motor in question was evidently pulled out of a 1984 Toro lawnmower.

So, this guy is going to be a bust and suck dick at the position he was drafted for?

And they reached for him in the 1st round.

Ick.
