Pick 11 usually doesnt turn out well. Get a solid QB and RB in the first round, then focus on WR and RB in the second round. The second round really sucks depending on how many guys are in the league. You may be okay with 8 guys, but in a 10+ guy league you won't find much by this pick.

You really have to provide more information besides what you did. I would need to know the points that the qb would score for a TD thrown, if it's a PPR(points per reception) and basically what type of breakdown your starting roster would look like.

WITH HIS NFL FUTURE ON THE LINE, RAX GRISSMAN WILL HAVE THE 45/15 SEASON WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR SINCE 2003. THE FUTURE WILL BE SAVED ACCORDINGLY.

the dude with the #1 pick will be like OMFG WHY DIDN'T I TAKE RAX when it's all said and done.... and uhhh, realistically, at that position you're likely jockeying for the ~#5/ish RB or a #2-4 WR so it depends if you think you've got value at the RB position in rounds 2-4 with a side of solid quarterbacking. cam newton is gonna complicate things cuz people are gonna prolly draft him around late round 1 / early round 2, as i bet someone's gonna go for a franchise RB and then think they can swoop in and get top-5 player production from cam in round 2.

does your draft snake? meaning do you get pick #2 in round #2? more than likely you'd prolly want to take your chocie of WRs and then take a RB, unless you've got a hardon for a specific RB that you think is likely to go in those 3 picks.

Get RG III or Vick to be your QB and don't draft ANY whitey's.

I'll post my thoughts later on this on who I would stay away from and who I would go after. Maybe around 8ish.

A Tom Brady with a Rob Gronkowski wrap around will set you up pretty nicely.

I don't think Brady will be there at 11. You're going to have to wait for the next round of Qb's to come off the board as you would be more likely staring at a Tony Romo,Mathew Stafford, Eli Manning,Cam Newton, Mike Vick. None of those guys scream must grab in the first round. I would say more than likely you should be able to a Matt Forte,Chris Johnson, Fitzgerald(who I would stay away from big time) type of player. I don't mind Gronk with the wrap on your next pick but not with the first round pick. Hell maybe you get lucky and one of those top 3 Qb's are there for the taking with the 11th pick, but in a 1 QB start in a 12 team league I highly doubt it.

Brady is trending at 11th in a 12 man league...just sayin.

Every draft that I have ever been in is all about trends. Some guy at 2 or 3 might go with Rodgers and it's probably too early, but not really with the way all the top QB's played last year. Than maybe a guy at 5 or 6 will see that there is no way he will get a top tier QB so he goes with either Brady or Brees. You'll be really really lucky if you have the option to pick one of those guys, but I don't see it. I saw a few of the experts mock drafts (CBS,ESPN) had Brady getting picked 7th.

Mathew Berry has Brady going 2nd overall. He did say Vick should go 1st last year though, so that there's that.

If you don't get a top 2 TE...wait. I don't see Gates being healthy really ever again and if you don't get Gronk or Jimmy Graham I think you should wait and load up on your WR and or RB. A guy like Jermichael Finley or maybe an Aaron Hernandez would look nice on your team with 2 stud WR and a really good RB.

I normally try and go with a tier system. If a WR is in a top tier that I want even though I might need another RB, I think really hard about taking that WR so I can throw him in my flex position or maybe use him to swing a trade.

I don't agree with a few of the tiers he has listed just at first glance, but this kind of gives you an idea what I'm talking about.

I would blow off the qb...you probably will have Rodgers, Brees, Brady, Megatron and 6 RBs go in front of you.

I like the best RB than Wes Welker on the snake pick...he is great in PPR and is playing for a new contract...

Had that for dinner last night. Though the worker put too many meatballs in it.

I appreciate the tips.

What about Gronk or Jimmy Graham with the snake pick? My rationale is that those 2 are the only TE's that are in that type of reliable scoring stratosphere (not Vernon Davis!), so the "My TE vs. Opponents TE" will almost surely have a positive ratio.

Pros & Cons of that rationale, Gentlemen?

I'm not a big fan of picking TE's that early. You should really have a decent running back with your first pick and probably follow it up with Stafford or Newton. Maybe go Stafford with your first pick as he probably won't make it back to you.

My view with 10-11 pick in a snake draft:

A safe assumption is the top tier RBs and couple top QBs will be gone at this point. So why take a second tier RB? I go with a top flight WR and another WR or QB on the turn. Let's say you go RB. You're leaving the top tier WR out there for those owners who previously landed a top tier RB. There is such a high turnover every year (during the season, especially) at RB that I just load up on them in the middle rounds, hoping a couple of them pan out. This strategy has worked out well in the past. One year I took three WR to start the draft (10-team, non PPR league). Finished second place.

Keeper league. Non PPR in terms of 1 for 1, but we start giving bonus points for 6-8 catches, 9-11, 12+, etc. We're more of a TD league, though we do have bonuses for yardage and length of TDs.

My keeper options aren't great for anything but WRs, and I can only protect 2: Hakeem Nicks, Vincent Jackson, Eric Decker.

To me, Nicks is a given. Who should I protect between Jackson or Decker? VJax only eclipsed double digits 4 times during the 14 week regular season, and had 0 or 1 point in 8 games. Not good.

Decker had a much worse QB situation, and I didn't start him every week. Now he has Manning, and I think he'll have a good season.

What say you?

Yikes..I would say Decker over Jackson which is kind of a shame. I'm just not a Jackson fan.
