Mayor Daley came under a lot of criticism for shutting that place down, let alone how Meigs Field was closed to begin with.

33rd?

She obviously knows something the average bum doesn't. But on the surface, that does seem like an odd move...

Interesting, so you think she is specifically targeting the big hearted and sometimes overly trust worthy Jeff?

You're goddam right I was! Those pieces of shit where never going to fly near my lakefront again! If that one pilot knew where the Willis Tower was, we would have had a disaster on our hands!

I pretended that I was reading a text on my phone, looked up and shrugged my shoulders. I really didn't have any dough though.

Just give it a little time. Driving into the city the other day and I mentioned something about the Sears Tower. My 4th grade son had no idea. I pointed it out and he said, "oh, the Willis Tower"

Biasco Music ads with the bad Sammy Davis Jr. impersonator.

Harry Schmerler, the Singing Ford Dealer.

That Victory Auto Wreckers commercial where the guy from Three Dog Night pulls the door off the car. Oh wait...

I still think that John Howell was a little out of line with the timing of his joke at the roast.

Too early.....then.

He was also Chicago's #1 morning man on 720 WGN Radio until his sudden death many years ago.

You mean the one with longtime Chicago promoter Bob Luce? That was long before WCIU became The U in 1995.

That was during a time when 'CIU broadcasted "The Stock Market Observer" live weekdays 8:30A-3:30P back in the day from their former home at the Board of Trade Building. They also used to also air daily horse racing returns, along with Spanish-language telenovelas & noticias in prime time.

If that's not enough, weekends featured religious programming, as well as other programming for other ethnic communities such as Greek, Japanese, Chinese & Indian. I'm not making this up! U'z aired all that back in the day...

Yep. I really don't like the homogenization of wrestling. My grade school Saturday nights were 5 o'clock mass followed by a gyros from Nick's enjoyed in front of that league from Texas with the Von Erichs.
