Castro may never get another hit. What in the hell is wrong with him? Valbuena had more hits last night than Castro has had in the last week.

While he got that hit...he has been either way late or way early on almost all swings...even on the away fastballs he loves so much.

Good learning experience for him...learning to overcome shit like this.

Or maybe he doesn't overcome it and becomes Mike Caruso.

Cub fans need to show some nuts, and not show up for this weekend series against the Reds. Tomorrow night should be 10-15k tops, but it won't happen. To get shut out 2 games against the shit Padres is just awful. Ricketts and Theo need to know that the fans won't watch this shit product. I understand rebuilding, but this is beyond awful.

I'm almost thinking now that someone screwed with his swing. His weight transfer doesn't look right. Hopefully he just says fuck it to the voices inside his head and the voices outside his head and he just starts reacting to and attacking the ball. Let the other guys be the home run hitters....just make good solid contact and drive the ball.

The frustrations are starting to show on some of the players as well. I've never seen Barney get the ass with an umpire like that and Shark breaking the bat over his leg speaks for itself. I'm guessing it was an interesting post game locker room and current flight home.

Still not as impressive as four sac flies.

What are you talking about? The Cubs have put plenty of shit teams on the field and have drawn well for years. The fact is that fans WILL show up to watch shit products. Maybe not after Labor Day or during adverse weather, but I can guarantee you they will draw at least 34-35K per game for the Reds series.

I am thinking Corey Patterson.

But Dad..win or lose, THEY COME EVERY YEAR!....I m glad they are losing..draft earlier..65 wins or 76 wins means nothing...except drafting later.

Certainly doing his best Patterson impression his first few games. Or Felix Pie. Maybe the Cubs should not try to develop left handed CF's.

The crowds have been significantly smaller since last year

A lot of the tickets are already purchased thru corporations or season tickets but they are not getting 35k people in there regularly

I seriously had no idea that was the case.

Yeah, its more significant than I thought

From 2003-2008 they were 1 or 2 in pct of the stadium filled. Usually between 98-101%

They started dropping in 09 and are down to 90% and 6th overall
