George: Now let's try "breast"... Celeste... Kest...

Jerry: No.

George: Rest... Sest... Hest...

Jerry: "Hest"? That's not a name.

I hope they settled on Camden after leafing through a list of crime-ridden post-industrial hellholes. Maybe they'll name the second kid West Baltimore.

My sister just had a boy and his name is Cormac. I strongly protested. Didn't work. I've never seen anyone ever have that name. I already told her I'm calling him mac and nothing else.

I heard when you name a kid lean out your front door and pretend you're calling him or her for dinner. If it sounds stupid skip the name.

I have a friend who's dad used to be a judge in California known for giving kids a second chance when it was their first offense and non violent and helping find them programs to get into.

He has several babies named after him by young people who he inspired to get a fresh start on life.

A couple of these families have kids with exotic names for their other kids so their kids are things like Apple, Sunshine and Bob.

Cormac sounds like a villian from a Star Trek episode.

Im officially FOR unique names

I can see making fun of Pilot or Apple or something really weird but some of the names being thrown out as weird here are fine.

Why are we celebrating unoriginal common names anyways?

As someone who has one of the most boring names ever, I tend to agree with this. But Cormac is not a good unique name.

Cormac McCarthy is one of the most important American writers of the past 50 years.

Edit: Whoops, missed Peeps' post.

My mom's cousin named her son Killian Aiden. The dad must be really Irish, huh.

I'm guessing she was watching The Running Man and felt it necessary to give a Richard Dawson tribute.

Camden Cutler will be the next Bears great QB since the Bears are unable to draft a QB, or develop one.
