It is the usual Kevin Smith on a stage telling stories. The difference in this one is that Jay Mews is on stage for the entire thing, most of the stories and talking is done by him. You can only hear so many drunk and high stories in an hour. I like both guys but the thing that makes these things work is Kevin's ability to tell a story and drag you in, Jay can not do that. I am just glad I used one of my free PPV movie on it.
If you are a fanboy watch it. I was really let down this time. I watched 2 movies(J.Edger and Ted) plus one other stand up (Robert Whul-Assume the Position) all where better.

I'm never sure how to feel about Kevin Smith. He's not that great of a filmmaker at all, and in general he's sort of chilled out (in a quasi-pompous way), but I'm not that interested in listening to him or Jason Mewes talk.

Robert Wuhl? Hope you used a free PPV on that unfunny mf'er.

Kevin Smith had an interesting feud with Adam Carolla. I'm a Carolla fan, so Smith came across badly.

The Wuhl thing was not a straight up stand up. It was likethe main thing was what he called the Liberty Valance effect. Line in the movie goes "When the legend becomes fact, print the legend."
Smiths first preformance DVd where fairly good in that they where Q&A. He talked about stuff from the movies and shit. The last two where kinda lame. I never knew about the fued with Carolla. How do I learn more about it?

Not that great? How old are you? Clerks was brilliant, Mallrats was above average. About the only really bad movie he made and it wasn't that bad was Jersey Girl.

Here's a link to the podcast where they talk about it. If you Google "Adam Carolla/ Kevin Smith feud," there's a bunch to read.

27 years old.

Good movies:
Clerks
Mallrats

Solid movies:
Dogma
Chasing Amy
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back

Mediocre film slush:
Clerks II: The Moneygrab
Zack and Miri Make a Porno

Outright garbage:
Jersey Girl
Red State
Cop Out

I can mostly agree. Jay and Silent Bob are still funny to me in the movies, but hearing them talk was pretty annoying. Glad I never paid to see it. The movies still do it for me. I really enjoy Jason Lee and find a lot of memorable moments across his movies. Even Jersey Girl had a few good moments. None of the later stuff could compare to Clerks and Mallrats.

An Evening With Kevin Smith (or whatever the first sit-down style one was) was actually really good. It was intimate and fun and down to earth. The one that really turned me off was I believe Too Fat For Forty, where he only answered one question (which turned into a 2 hour long rambling about smoking weed and taking a shit).

Granted I listen to the Joe Rogan Experience from time to time and it's basically the same thing, but...

Kevin Smith is in many ways like Quentin Tarantino -- the man became bigger than his movies. I think part of KSmith's appeal was he was Internet ready before the Internet existed (or more accurately was widely populated, but if he puts out a documentary I want to see "he was Internet ready before the Internet existed! -newper)

The guy did a story arc on Degrassi. Hard to defend. And I still watch Degrassi.

...except that Smith isn't an orc who likes to have women give his chode a footrub.

Allegedly.

Finally a sane person here. I enjoyed a couple of them but they were fun bad. Kind of like saying Napoleon Dynamite was fun bad. Clerks and Mallrats were silly bad but fun bad. Kevin Smith is over rated IMO.

All his movies have a low budget feel to them, which was fine when they were low budget. The actors all appear to be reading their lines like it was the first time they saw them.

I think Kevin Smith makes better movies than Adam Sandler. Cruder, but better.

Wasn't he kicked off a flight because he was too fat for a single seat?

I think I'm the only one in the world who didn't hate Red State. John Goodman single handedly took that movie from a D+ to a B-. Clerks and Mallrats are great. Dogma and Zack and Miri are ok dumb comedies. The rest of his movies aren't worth watching. Clerks 2 was awful.

His wife is definitely not hot. He talks about her like he's dating a supermodel, but she's a 5 or 6 at best.

That's because she looks like a completely different person.

Still, she's better than a 5, imdouchebaggedup17.

Ok well wtf.

She's like a 6 in the first pic, a 7 in the 2nd pic, and a 3 in that last pic. I don't know or care anymore.

Kevin Smith is living the ultimate Nerd life.
Makes cool movies with/for his friends.
He is still surrounded by his high school friends and gave them all jobs.
He has a hot wife,Jenn is hot, not supermodel but look at him.
He has meet most of his childhood heroes.
He got to write a couple of comic book stories
He owns 2 comic shops
He has been in comic books and in comic book movies
He named his freaking kid after a Comic book character
He got married at Skywaker Ranch, how cool is that!

It sounds like he's living his dream all right and getting really fat.

About the last picture she probably would look different without the pigtails.

She looks different in every pic. The only decent one is the 2nd. She's like that chick Jerry dated that looked bad in certain lighting.
