1. I'm gonna take a guess at Bernstein's source. I think it's Len Casper. Think about it. Theo's people hate Bernstein. Theo also runs a tight ship. His people wouldn't talk to anybody. I think Casper has always been Bernstein's source on Cubs stuff. Casper and Bernstein have always struck me as friends the way they talk to each other.

Rodeo, I think considering where the White Sox drafted Gordon Beckham, they were hoping for a lot more offensively. Defensively, he plays 2B with the best of them in Bud Selig's MLB. Beckham's also not as lazy as Castro was perceived by former ESPN analyst & soon-to-be former Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine last summer during a "Sunday Night Baseball" game at Wrigley. You remember that, don't you? Besides, I'd still take Beckham over Castro in a heartbeat.
