What's not to love about him? He plays hard. He maxes out on his ability. He is thankful to be in MLB and he particularly loves playing for the Sox. He is like Pete Meyers in pale hose.

I feel better about bringing him in a playoff pinch hitting situation than Jordan Danks. However, next year I want Jordan to be the 4th OF over Wise.

I wish the Wimparoo did more games with Hawk each season.

On yesterday's postgame Garfein suggested that Floyd was better on the road because he has a lower ERA to go with his 2-6 record. Big Frank knew how goddamn dumb that was but he didn't feel like arguing with Our Chuck.

#28 Dewayne Wise, Columbia, S.C. Would you believe Wise went 2 for 4 with a homer & 4 RBI's last night in the White Sox 9-5 winner over the Blue Jays? The real fun happens tomorrow when Paul Konerko is activated from the 7-day DL and the Sox have to make a move before the ballgame.

The Sox might have to make another roster move. Backup 2B Orlando Hudson suffered a bruised toe and was replaced by Gordon Beckham in the bottom 6th. Hudson's X-rays were negative, but the newly signed Jose Lopez, just released by the Indians, might be en route to either Toronto or Kansas City to join the Southsiders. He's currently at Triple "A" Charlotte.

RV is staying with the hot hand tonight when the White Sox conclude their series in Toronto. Dewayne Wise will lead off in RV's lineup this eve as the White Sox wrap up the series at Rogers Centre. 2B Gordon Beckham & CF Alejandro De Aza are conspicously absent from this lineup. The notable changes are in BOLD type. The Sox will deal with lefty Aaron Laffey like this...

28 Dewayne Wise CF (L)
20 Kevin Youkilis 3B (R)
32 Adam Dunn 1B (L)
51 Alex Rios RF (R)
12 A.J. Pierzynski DH (L)
10 Alexei Ramirez SS (R)
24 Dayan Viciedo LF (R)
17 Tyler Flowers C (R)
66 Ray Olmedo 2B (S)

Starting Pitcher: 58 Francisco Liriano (LHP-Still No Record w/CHW; 3-10 w/MIN, 5.35 ERA)

As for the Blue Jays vs. Liriano...

11 Rajai Davis LF (R)
28 Colby Rasmus DH (L)
10 Edwin Encarnacion 1B (R)
5 Yunel Escobar SS (R)
2 Kelly Johnson 2B (L)
14 Moises Sierra RF (R)
6 Jeff Mathis C (R)
18 Mike McCoy CF (R)
3 Adeiny Hechavarria 3B (R)

Starting Pitcher: 32 Aaron Laffey (LHP; 3-3, 4.72 ERA)

Quick DWise story.

Last season, at a game with Darko, Frank, and Dug. We are sitting out in right behind the bullpen sports bar. I shit you not, there's a dude wearing a DeWayne Wise jersey. I point it out to Darko, and his response? "I think that may actually be DeWayne Wise".

I was drunk and thought it was hilarious.

I feel like bolding the word bold would have had much greater effect.

The Blue Jays have adjusted their lineup. Edwin Encarnacion has been scratched from tonight's lineup. Here's the REVISED Toronto lineup vs. White Sox lefty Francisco Liriano:

11 Rajai Davis LF (R)
18 Mike McCoy CF (R)
28 Colby Rasmus DH (L)
5 Yunel Escobar SS (R)
30 David Cooper 1B (L)
14 Moises Sierra RF (R)
2 Kelly Johnson 2B (L)
6 Jeff Mathis C (R)
3 Adeiny Hechavarria 3B (R)
Starting Pitcher: 32 Aaron Laffey (LHP; 3-3, 4.72 ERA)

That's his name. You know if he were still with us, Harry Caray would have a devil of a time trying to pronounce his name.

That was really really strange. Really sad....hope that guy is ok and if he's left this life, he's gone to that big ballpark in the sky.

Yeah. You could see plain as day they were doing CPR on him. Guy was walking along the cart doing compressions the whole way out.

If the Sox had any compassion they would have let the jays win this game in honor of the dude who had a grabber

BTW, has it occurred to anyone that perhaps the Sox are rolling because of Terry's Peeps' pre-series predictions of failure? I think he is the main cause of their success.

Saw the video of the WGN feed. Felt bad for Hawk trying to talk about what was going on. Did anyone hear how Farmio handled it?

Doesn't sound like the guy made it. :(
