I don't post much here but I creep in the shadows.. I listen to the Score in the car with my GF and about 30 seconds into the car ride my GF will ask to change the
station to WGN and Gary Meier usually I do it because BernSTINE will start with his all knowing rants about some bs or PSU. Also I like to do my Tom Skilling voice in the car and make fun of his dorky ass. (Love ya Tom!)

Today was different though.. not once did my GF ask me to change the dial and not once did I. Now I'm not saying Goff and Boers are great radio talents I'm just saying it was so peaceful without BernSTINE spreading his agendas for once. I'm not really a Danny Mac fan I think he has his good days and bad days... mostly bad. I just think they try too hard on Macs show but it's not the worst listen but I digress... BernSTINE really sucks!

He's dominated the Score much in the ways North did when he was the De facto cream of the class, if you will... I just think BernSTINE is the Alpha dog and everyone leads and tries to be like him.... thats no good. BE YOURSELF!!!

I not asking for BernSTINE's head or that he should be fired but move him to the mornings for like a solo show so I don't have to hear him on my drives home please. I wanna hear a different direction for the Score I think BernSTINES agenda has kinda taken away the meatball fun radio that the score was about. It was about sports not people trying to get on their soap box and spread their hate for a University EVERY FREAKING DAY!!!!!

I understand some people wanna hear PSU talk but this is Chicago Sports radio... PLEASE STICK TO CHICAGO SPORTS RADIO... I done with the BernSTINE era I wish it to be over or less accessible to me in the mid afternoon.

Can't they give BernSTINE his own solo show in the mornings when I'm not really listening?

Or how about this... North and BernSTINE in the mornings...

If he had his own morning show, I think that'd be fine, but I would prefer listening to him on his own. I am sick and tired of afternoons being a 4 hour block of Bernstine and his cronies all talking about the same tired shit. If Berns was solo I think he'd not only be a better host, but it'd make for better radio. The drive time needs an overhaul at this point, and Mully/Hanley might work better there, despite the fact they're so corny that it makes my kidneys shrivel and my soul want to blacken and die.

I agree with your conclusions but not your premise. No the Score is not better without Dan. I do think B and B has run its course. I do think Dan solo would work well in the mornings. I do think M and H would work well in mid days. I do dislike think the station has been dominated by Dan's personna and that it is not for the better.

It's going to be a cold day in hell before Bernstein works mornings. Think of all the times he's gone on about how working mornings takes years off your life and ages your face and makes you miserable. His hours allow him to have breakfast with his family, go to the gym, stroll into work with little or no prep time, go back home to have dinner with his family and watch sports/Food Network at night, then sleep like a semi-normal human. He's already being highly compensated to live like this; how much more would they have to pay him to wake up in the middle of the night and sleep during the day for a time slot that's historically a write-off for the sports talk format? 1000 runs a national show, the Score's morning shows have all blown, and look, the Fan's morning show for the longest time was Don Imus thinking he was still at WNBC.
