Not sure how you rank High School Football teams, but these guys really should talk to one another or let one guy do it.

(Where's Crystal Lake South?)

Mike Helfgot's rankings

1. Bolingbrook
2. Maine South
3. Wheaton South
4. Mount Carmel
5. Loyola
6. Glenbard West
7. St. Rita
8. Marist
9. Montini
10. Joliet Catholic
12. Lincoln-Way East
13. Wheaton North
14. Simeon
15. Stevenson
16. Crete-Monee
17. Palatine
18. Naperville Central

20. Crystal Lake South (got pounded by Marian Central ranked 30, 31-0)

So, Helfgot should have ranked Marian 29th next week?

The AP rankings should give a little clarity...sort of.

That AP poll had Kaneland in 6A?? When did that happen? Not a terrible thing if true as they can get away from some of the private schools that seem to end their season in the semi's every year.

Preseason polls are not accurate. They take all the football teams in the state and divide by 8. Kaneland will likely still be in 5a.
