Not exactly.

At first he started pushing it while Mac was rehabbing. Any time a mention of drunkeness or drug use came up there was a "DaaaMaaaNaaaa." Then the "relevant idiot" thing. If Mac hadn't been spurred on to say something by Beardown, where would it have gone next? A "DaaaMaaaNaaaa" after the "dumbass cracker" drop? A "DaaaMaaaNaaaa" after Terry said "walking rectum"?

You really think beardown has that much influence?

Hood? I don't believe it..Hood seems like good people and a great coworker, professional and knowledgeable ..need more proof...I believe Mitch sided with his bitch Larry over hood(big mistake)

The Hood/Mac stuff happened at ESPN.

Interesting, Hood is my guy..I will try to look into this.

Do you think Goff was trying to "Murph" Mac? Was he trying to destroy Mac's aura via his sound board wizardry?

Mac gave a shoutout to Beardown before he interrogated Jason about his insolence.

I had been wondering if Guy + Spaulding = Match!

I think we now have some new evidence in that vein.

Excellent work.

If this is true about Finfer, Mac is giving me even more reason not to listen to his show. I understand the guy has been putting in his apprenticeship under Mac for several years at two stations. But he belongs behind the scenes. It pays to be Mac's personal ball washer (Finfer) or verbal fellatio artist (Spiegs). Eventually you'll get your shot at the big time. Contrary to what Beardown thinks, I believe this has nothing to do with the DaMaNaa stuff. Mac probably thinks it's time for his guy to get some air time, something I bet he promised Ben when he coaxed over from 1000.

You also thought I was Juggs, so there's that.

You're not? Seriously, though, Juggs is Mr. Reason, right?

There is no self-awareness with Goff. He's just over his skis a lot.

I think he gets caught up in the "B&B game" cuz it's fun. Especially when he's playing that game on the B&B show cuz B&B have his back. They laugh at his stupidity and nonsense. This encourages him. Hell, B&B don't give a shit that he's hanging himself. He doesn't know what he's doing. The real world isn't the B&B radio world. Christ, radio is big buisness and potentially quite lucrative. You can't go around making enemies. You can't always be the wise-cracking arrogant jack ass to co workers. Not in his position. You need some friends in the radio biz to make it. He doesn't realize that.

This is true. Dan and Terry can get away with being jags because one is talented and gets people to react and listen and the other happened to ensconce himself as a wheezing, mumbling loveable radio weirdo at the perfect time in Chicago sports radio history.

I dunno, but it's amazing to see how far his star has fallen. He used to be the #1 sub at the station. Now he's fallen behind Joe Ostrowski in the all-important battle for air time.

I'm pretty sure Mac confronted Bernstein during tranny the 1st day he got back after rehab. It was about the show dropping Da Maaa Neil. Bernstein quickly backed down and changed the subject.

This is going to sound Glooponian, but maybe the guy that wanted to pick Mac's cohosts for him was on to something. Granted Harry wasn't the best choice by what ever pm that was but Mac's not really good at picking them on his own either. Call me unimpressed.

Will Laurence start throwing shoulders in the elevator at Finfer? Will Goff make little funnies about Finfer? Like sands through the hour glass, my friends.

I think Gloopian has a better ring to it.

Boy it sure is shocking when Mac acts like a giant douche. 100000000 times in a row.

There is not a person with worse sports thoughts at the station right now then Finfer.

The king needs to exert his authority every once in a while just to remind everyone of the heirarchy.

It's like prima nocta. It's not like the king wants to sleep with the smelly, dirty peasant girl, it's that he needs you to know that he can if he wants.

Is Finfer the producer that has the Minnesota accent and talks hockey or is that someone else?

By the way, the title of this thread is completely wrong. Finfer will be guest hosting in place of Mac MUCH MORE than in place of Spiegelfish.

So what you are saying is that Princess Pissy Pants Spiegel didn't like playing 2nd fiddle to Goff or Larry so he demanded a co-host that he feels is completely beneath him and thus everyone will know he is the man when Mac is away.

Im fine with Finfer. He seems to be more consistent than Goff and like everybody else at the station hes infinitely more likeable than Leery.

I wish he would have facilitated bringing Weber back to the station. I liked what I heard from him when he got on the air and as a producer he played far and away the best bumper music.
