The Danny Mac show is as good as B and B. Just depends what kind of mood you're in.

Not for me. Mac is occasionally entertaining, but overall I've never felt that way. I spend most of 9 to 1 listening to various podcasts and catching up on things. B&B is almost always listened to live...

If find your new disdain (or just not liking his show anymore, whatever you call it) for Mac, weird considering you were a big MJH fan.

When I listen to the show (not that often) it reminds me a lot of MJH


B and B is not Breaking Bad.

B and B gotta be some show that's good but gets very repetitive and predicatable.

I'm not sure why, but Mac and Meat don't put on a consistantly good show together. Still haven't figured out exactly what it is, but that's my hang up.

MJH was one of the best shows ever. Everything worked nearly perfectly.

I think Mac has grown more arrogant in recent years. Maybe not, but that's the way it comes off. It's not a cool sort of confidence either. It comes across dickish and makes no sense at times.

Like I said though, it is a good show from time to time. Very good when Goff sat in, which doesn't seem like it's happening anymore so my listening will take another hit...

I always felt HFC was the best of Mac's shows. I'd take Mac with Speigs over MHJ because Harry was a tough listen and Jurko was in and out. Mac would have to reel Harry back in all the time, and then correct Jurko for his poor grammar. It got tired.

Speigs is a good person to have on the station because he brings the perspective of a baseball traditionalist. He can counter Bernsie's saber love. The baseball season is the longest of all, and we have two teams to talk about. I wish the show was in drive time.....when I used to listen at work, I would miss too much because I couldn't concentrate on it enough.

The show was fun and light hearted. It was extremely caller friendly. They had some decent segments from Jurko vs. Harry and Critics @ XL. I also loved the parody stuff. I know others don't like some of those gimmicks, but I thought it was fun.

Still, it got old. It is a show I would listen to if it was on, but it was dying in the end.

Ditto. I love Mac and Jurko but Harry was the deal breaker. Harry voice is like static on the radio during your favorite song. You hope the song(M&J) comes back on but the static just increases.

There's a reason why this topic created such a fuss on this board. In my opinion, Mac made it sound like it was going to be someone NOT on 670 The SCORE's current payroll who was going to sit in for Spiegs Tuesday morning. That could've been anybody who had shared studio space with Mac, but wasn't necessarily under contract with another radio station in town, let alone one under the CBS Radio umbrella.

That being said, I have no problem at all with Ben Finfer sitting in for Spiegs Tuesday morning.

It's either Steve in Elmhurst or Mario Van Peebles.
