Amazing episode. Hurry up 8/19!

Only three episodes left this season :(

Will that be 6, 7, and 8? It's only 8 this year is that right?

Yep. Final 8 next year. I would assume airing in July '13 like this year, but who knows.

I thought this season was the last? What did they do, cut the number of episodes down to stretch it out another season?

Re: the "slower" episodes of the season

One thing I love about this series, and it seems like others appreciate too, is the style in which it is shown. It reminds me of No Country For Old Men in the sense that they don't ever waste a camera shot or a line of dialogue. There is no filler content. Everything is shot and said with a definitive purpose. It's much more intriguing that way if done right then the Sorkin style of writing where the characters are talking constantly and saying nothing.

Ding ding. Even the "boring" scenes are building to the bigger picture.

Still can't get the opening scene of two weeks ago out of my head. Gut-wrenching, but I couldn't turn away. Kudos to the producers for using music rather than dialogue.

Loved the use of The Monkees Goin' Down song during the cook sequence.

I loved that song as a kid.

I know it's been obvious for a while that Walt is a horrible person, but even I thought Sunday was too much. He really didn't need to do that. I'm being vague since IMU hasn't seen the last couple episodes.

I bought it. Seems like a natural progression into him actually being Heisenberg at this point and just pretending to be Walt when necessary.

I guess. Then again, do you remember the look on his face after it happened? Had a "What the f*** did I just do?" feel to it. He's going to regret it.

I did too.

SPOILERish BELOW

The series has been building since the death Gail that it's okay to kill when 'necessary' Obviously the standards of necessary have changed a bit since Mike was pretty much a rage kill, but it really is part of being Heisenberg. He get what he wants or there will be consequences. The opening scene had me holding my breath.

He keeps having those though. But the events that cause those looks are getting progressive more severe. Soon there won't be a look. Just satisfaction that the problem is solved.

I don't know how he's going to be able to clean all this up. I think he's going to need to get the Friday Night Lights kid to help him. But, there's a lot to do and he's going to have to do it fast.

There's no other show I've spent this much time reading about after the fact. Definitely going to be sad after this Sunday's episode. At least the fall will bring back some of my other shows.

Gotta disagree..This was the best show on t.v for a couple years..it has become predictable ..after the "flew to close to the sun" line ...it was inevitable that Mike was getting clipped..Walt was a genius and now all of a sudden he is a train wreck that is in a nosedive and the only outcome now is crash/burn..like walt is going to forget that ol girl tried to have mike clipped and the other 9 guys on the list...like walt would not just move out from his ball busting ugly wife.I know it can't be easy continuing to write great story lines but this season has sucked..last week was good but not even in the top 10 episodes thus far..I fear this show blew it's load last year.

Nothing personal here, but isn't the bold pretty much the premise of the show? Breaking Bad? Season 5...

Still stuck in season 4 never never land. Don't rain on my parade and say that season 5/Part1 sucks.

I think this season has been excellent. I've never watched a show where every scene, practically every line, is moving the plot forward with tremendous tension.

And the acting is great. Aaron Paul is tremendous in every scene. So was Mike. And Cranston is playing like 4 different characters.

He's always been stupid when it comes to being a criminal mastermind. He was just able to get his way out of the problems because he was so smart and lucky.

He's just completely lost it now.

And he's almost always had someone to help/bail him out. Jesse, Gus, Saul...but he's getting very close (if he isn't there already) to having to go it alone. The new kid is dumb as a box of rocks. Jesse probably wants to beat Walt's ass. And with the money shit that went down, I'm guessing Saul is going to have to distance himself from Walt since a link between him and Mike can be made through Saul.

Judging from the opening scene in the first episode, it's obvious that the shit is going to hit the fan. It's just a matter of when...

You're a Man on an island with that thought. The train theft episode might just be the single best episode of this entire series. I have loved season 5.

I still love the show..best series on t.v. all time..that or the wire...

The train episode was very good..but not even close to the best episodes in previous seasons like Face Off or Peekaboo or Box
Cutter, or some of the episodes with Tuco ..or the where Gus takes out the Cartel...or when Walt n Jesse are stuck in the RV and Hank is outside..Like I said..I fear this show blew it's load already..hope I am wrong..I am not a fan of some of these new characters, like this new guy who shot the kid and is cooking now or Walt's new partner.

Yea, I'm not a fan of Todd either. I wonder if Jesse is going to start up his own meth lab to compete with Walt? The final episode could be a stand off between them & shooting each other. Which characters get killed next season? Skyler? Hank? Jesse?

I don't think Hank or Skylar are going anywhere..Jessie will come out on top and I believe Skylar and Jessie come to an agreement that Walt is out of control and needs to go..there is a reason why they are slowly introducing Jessie/Skylar more often.Maybe with Skylars help Jessie takes out Walt.

All it would take is for Jesse to find out that Walt poisoned the kid.

I still think that happens somehow.

EDIT: Thanks, Scorehead...

I have never thought about or read about a TV show as much as I have BB. Never has a show kept my interest as much as BB. I will miss the hell out of this show.
