I've been in a Stevie Wonder Innervisions mood this week. I like how he uses the synthesizer to create tension with the acoustic instruments. Good stuff.

Do you ever just crank out some Iron Maiden or King Diamond Midge?

I have been known to shout along to Twisted Sister, Poison, Bon Jovi, the Scorpions and AC/DC.

When you listen to 2010's music....80's music isn't really that "bad".

My kids listen to b96. I've come full circle. I just wish z95 was still an option.

Remember when a song would start and you'd run over to your boom box to hit record? Your tape always had to be ready. Kids don't understand that now.

I just put Runaway on now. Awesome. I like some of the later songs as well.

There's NO bad 80's music.

I have no disagreement with you on this matter.....in fact once you realize that its not really bad you are able to liberate yourself to uncharted territory.

ok....so from the poison video i clicked on a best of 84 video on the side.

Now I must ask..

Why in 2012 does Bruce Springsteen dancing in his video look gayer than Boy George in the next video??

The first girl Tall Midget ever got to kiss--back when he was a 7th-grader--loved the Scorpions. The summer between 7th and 8th grade we would frequently meet up at a neighborhood park in the early evenings, I would give her a bike ride on my handlebars, and we would head over to the Bunny Hutch game room at the corner of Lincoln and Devon in Lincolnwood. A lot of times she would bring her boom box and we would crank out some "Rock You Like a Hurricane" or perhaps some "Lonely is the Night" by Billy Squier. We would spend the evening playing pinball with our friends and then head to her backyard for a makeout session. That whole summer I couldn't get the Scorpions out of my head and (even though they didn't play the kind of music I liked) didn't want to. When a Scorpions song comes on the radio today, I still crank it up.

Tall Midget was quite a ne'er do well in his younger days. Lots of disciplinary problems, trips to the principal's office, suspensions. Almost kicked out junior high and high school on multiple occasions. Red dirtbike.
