I don't know about the Heads being underrated. They were probably the most critically acclaimed group of the late 70s/early 80s. 77/More Songs About Buildings and Food/Fear of Music/Remain in Light/Little Creatures were all huge critical successes.

I love the Heads.

Cars are also genius. "Dangerous Type," "Moving in Stereo," "Let's Go," "Candy O," "You're All I've Got Tonight"--all fantastic songs.

If you like them, check out the Fountains of Wayne, particularly a CD like Welcome Interstate Managers. It's kind of a combination between the Cars and Cheap Trick/Material Issue.

When I was a teenager, I was a gopher for music acts in Rosemont the Horizon and Theater. CCR revisited came through and since they were really fucking cheap I had to pick them up at the airport. It was Gunner from CCR, Easton and whoever was doing the Fogerty impression in my car. The whole ride from O'Hare to Rosemont, Easton keeps reading a letter from a fan and insisting she was going to come to the show and kill him. As they were getting out, Gunner told him to shut the fuck up and ripped up the letter.

Pretty sure you're right about that JORR. I really don't know the whole story. Perhaps she had the first rap song MTV ever played with Rapture, or was the first female to be credited with a rap song?

I think a new Dylan album comes out this week. This was recorded 50 years ago. Wrap your head around that. Includes very early versions of "It's a Hard Rain's A Gonna Fall" and "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright."
