Bought a couple of these (Orv's Pizza thin crust) for 2.50 each. Very tasty pizza for such a cheap price.

So can we have a CSFMB ranking of frozen pizza regardless of cost? My little guy is starting to enjoy pizza quite a bit, so it would be convenient to have some on hand for him.

Most frozen pizzas out there will get the job done. If you are buying them for any sort of real pizza enjoyment, then there is something wrong with you.

Stay away from Totino's though, that stuff is dogshit.

Orvs is shit pizza. I wouldn't feed it to the dog.

Jacks is a decent cheap pizza that is probably meant most for kids as it's a light pizza that probably won't fill up a grown adult.
Tombstone is a better quality pizza that when found on sale really is a good deal.
Tony's pizza is a step above Orvs but not by much.
Red Barron is probably in between Jacks and Tombstone but probably closer to Jacks then it is to Tombstone.
Doreens is not cheap for such an average pizza.
Homerun inn's classic style pizza is a decent pizza but it's expensive as well.
Digiorno is a good quality fairly inexpensive pizza that you usually can find on sale somewhere.

Reggios is good (buttery crust goodness), but I don't recall it being "cheap." Isn't it like $6 per pizza (which aren't very large). Same with Home Run Inn.

I only buy them when they are on sale.

I don't generally love frozen pizza. But I do dig Jewel's Culinary Circle pizzas, especially the thin crust peppy-roni.

I remember being able to get those in college for like 75 cents/each at Wal-Mart. I had a roommate that would literally buy at least 10 of them every week. I don't how anyone could consume that much shitty pizza.

We used to order Grog's down at U of I, and it was like $2.50 delivered. The pepperoni had like one piece of meat in the middle, and the pizza tasted like the card board box that it came in. We still ordered it all the time. I found this while Googling it:

"“Grog’s in Champaign, Ill. The $4 pizza, it was like eating a pizza box with sauce on it.” — Grace Bascos, food writer for Vegas Seven. "

Check the ingredients. I believe it is Tombstone that uses chicken in the sausage and pepperoni. Kind of a big deal if you are allergic.

With the Jacks pizza I would always get self-rising crust. The rest of those are like cardboard crust. In the past when I got deals on frozen pizzas and they were really cheap I picked up a bunch of California Kitchen Pizzas that are microwavable. I used to like DiGornos Pizza and Breadsticks, but it tends to have a lot of bread. Most of the frozen pizzas are better if you add additional cheese as they tend to skimp on that.

What I actually like to do is make my own pizza. I pay around $1.25 for pizza dough at Trader Joes. I pick up a can of Pastorelli pizza sauce for $1 or $1.50. Then I can get 3 bags of 8 oz. shredded cheese for around $6 or in some cases $4 if there's a sale. It's a meatless pizza, but for $6 to $8 it's a pretty big pizza. It's a little bit of work, but it has to be twice the size of your average frozen pizza.

What I used to do was go to Super Target and buy Totino's Nacho rolls and eat them with Sun Chips. So bad, yet so tasty.

That fact that you incessantly post about crappy foods leads me to take that "used to" portion of your statement with an enormous grain of salt

The frozen pizza in the yellow box that they sell @ Costco (Kirkland brand?) is good.

But Costco's fresh pizza is muy better.

I'll tell you what is awesome and maybe not a pizza, but maybe it is -- Red Baron breakfast pizzas which I think they now are branding as breakfast biscuits -- http://www.redbaron.com/biscuit-style-scrambles.aspx

Have to buy them on sale though -- otherwise way too expensive.
