Bought seasons 1&2 and watched them with Mrs. Scooter who being 10 years my junior had never even seen reruns. I forgot how funny this show was. She literally was in tears laughing. Stupidly fun.

I think that's actually grounds for divorce in some states. But it sounds like you and the wife were made for each other. Maybe you guys can work your way through Petticoat Junction next.

What are your views on Hee-Haw? That Roy Clark could do amazing things with a pick.

23 MeTV aired reruns of this corny sitcom Saturdays @ 5P all summer. While the sitcom from the mind of "Beverly Hillbillies" creator/producer Paul Henning disappears from the MeTV schedule this weekend, there was a perception by many that CBS was considered "too rural" considering they used to originally air "Beverly Hillbillies", "Petticoat Junction", "Green Acres", as well as "The Andy Griffith Show" & "Mayberry, R.F.D.", specifically between 1965-1971. All of these shows were part of something back then called a "Rural Purge", and here's how Wikipedia described it...

Well, we'd have to be talkin' about one charming motherfucking pig. I mean, he'd have to be ten times more charming than that Arnold on Green Acres, you know what I'm saying?

I have always preferred Green Acres to The Beverly Hillbillies.

That's how the Republican Party was born.

Sure. Its more cerebral comedy. Things that happened in Green Acres had a surreal quality.

Like, you look out of a certain window in Hooterville, and can see the Eiffel Tower. The natives know and accept that, and Mrs Douglas intuits it somehow. Oliver doesn't believe that hooey, until he looks out the window himself (and there it is...) (This was later in the series, so he just shrugs and accepts it. Whereas before he'd be dumbstruck for the rest of the episode.)

I love Beebo. He/She is man candy. Honestly he posts when it matters and is my kinda guy. I also want OKC but only in a man to man situation with a couple girls doing the pivot move. Cubbiegirl would do if I wanted a fat slob in bacon fat. Truth be known she is probably smokin hot. Or not.
