Perhaps they would get less flak about being Nazi's or hateful if they didnt rip off the KKK's slogan for their campaign

TAMPA, Fla. -- During these past four days at the RNC convention, janitors have worked around the clock picking up after delegates, conservative stars like Ann Coulter and Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.), and the thousands of reporters in cavernous filing rooms. And many are doing so making less than minimum wage.

Carolyn Walker said she has been cleaning the convention center for 13 years. She had been making $8 per hour until a few years ago, when the cleaning contract went to another company, Cleanevent USA. The new company meant a new, downsized paycheck. She's now making minimum wage -- $7.67 per hour. But that wasn't the only hit to her wallet.

Walker said the company charges her $6 per week for uniforms. "It stinks to tell you the truth," she said. "We work very hard." It effectively means she's making less than Florida's minimum wage.

Sounds like a Florida minimum wage issue rather than a Republican one.

Again, if your house is flooded; no matter if its Cat 1, 2, 3, 4, 5; you're house is flooded. What part of that is so hard to understand for Obama supporters?

Exactly. That's like blaming McDonald's because your kid is fat because you keep taking him there........oh wait. Another brilliant liberal idea.

You can't logically blame the RNC for what the convention building does to its employees. Well, you could, if you wanted to. But then you better not wear clothes, drive a car, eat food, or have a cell phone; because odds are all of the above were made by underpaid employees somewhere along the line.

I've got a leaky toilet. That should at least be worth a visit from Biden.

So basically, unless its a HUGE disaster, those people are beneath Obama's attention?

Gotcha.

It would be logistically impossible to visit every disaster.

You are really proposing that the POTUS should show up every time someone's house floods? You realize this happens hundreds of times every day, all across the country, correct?

No, I'm saying that the POTUS should have gone to a hurricane damaged area. People faulted Bush for not going 7 years ago. Why should Obama not have gone? Because it was a smaller area affected?

Because if that's the case; then my statement stands that unless its huge, the POTUS shouldn't care.

Which then he shouldn't spout off about being for the little guy.

I'm pretty sure Bush went to New Orleans/Louisiana after Katrina hit. As I remember....it was that he didn't go right away from wherever he was at and instead chose to go back to D.C. first.

People blamed Bush for not going immediately. He got there 3 days afterwards. Obama went after 6 days to a storm ravaged area that everyone will admit was less devastating than Katrina.

But Obama supporters don't feel their guy should be faulted for waiting 3 additional days to go after Issac. If you hold one President accountable for his actions, you hold them all. You shouldn't get to pick and chose because you like your guy more.

Personally, I feel its more important in those first few days NOT to have the President down there so that emergency crews and personnel can focus on civilian safety, instead of the President's safety.

I don't think Obama ever visited tennessee a couple years ago when that place was completely flooded. I think 33% of the state was under water. 20 some people dead. I don't even think they got federal aid.

FoxNews.com reported that Gov. Phil Bredesen stated: "I've never seen this kind of response ... and we've had our share of tornadoes and so forth." Bredesen reportedly further stated, "FEMA and the White House could not have been more helpful in this thing." Fox also reported that Obama spoke with Bredesen on Monday before the disaster declaration and that FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate has been to the state twice since the weekend's storms. Exactly. I'll give credit where credit is due; FEMA/Obama Administration did send aid rapidly after Tennessee got rocked. Same with his response to help in both Colorado shootings (Rep. Gifford and of course the Dark Knight Rises shooting this summer.)

Odd a democratic governor would speak so glowingly of the White House. Obama did finally visit Tennessee -- 1 full year after it happened to speak at a graduation ceremony. I was wrong about the federal aid, which they did get.

Absolutely nothing. Even Hilary was better than Lewinsky back at that point. And probably still is.

He did get a pass on that one. I wonder what he does to get laid with Hillary all over the world??

Well maybe if it had been his cock up in there, nobody would snicker at the otherwise mundane words "blue dress", and perhaps the whole ordeal wouldn't have happened.
