Accurately describes this team. Talk about bad. Wow. Who are the keepers? Castro, Castillo, Rizzo, BJax, Barney (maybe), Soriano (since no one will trade for his proven power bat), Shark, Garza. Anyone else?? Russell maybe? DeJesus as a role player for a contender? That's 10 guys on the ML roster worth a shit. All the rest of these guys flat out suck and belong in the fucking minors.

I am a fan, believe in the rebuilding project, but I can't bear to watch this useless piece of shit team anymore.

Wow.

Not into it yet. Bring on the Colts who hopefully will get crushed Sunday.

cpguy,
It's ok to suck as long as they get a 1st pick in the draft.
What utter bullshit that is. Throw a season for a draft pick.
I beleive you can rebuild without sucking this bad. Now
what's left? A barren farm system and very little to trade.
Interesting offseason to say the least.

They do have top talent at the low levels as we all know (except for pitching unless that Vizciano is real). As for next season, they really need to spend some cash on some pitching as this staff is one of the worst ever. The good thing about pitching is you can always trade it for prospects mid season if you have to.

Giving up 12 HR's to WASH in 2 games is an embarrasment. I've never witnessed such shit pitching ever.

They are a shoe in to lose 100+ games and will get the #2 pick in each round as their "reward" but wow, watching this crap is impossible and I seldom watch anymore frankly and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I think Barney is staying. IIRC, Detroit inquired and the Cubs wanted a lot.

You're in the running for worst Cubs fan here. You make the rest look shockingly bad by association. Why don't you start another antagonist thread about the Chicago White Sox. "Are the White Sox Now the Shittiest Team that Makes a Run While I Make Horrible Statements About the Team I Like." Have Big Fan expand the limits.

So another thread saying the Cubs are bad and all of their talent in the minors is too young to be hopeful for next year? Cool.

Wasn't this team completely useless in April?

What I am saying is at present there are maybe 10 major leaguers on the entire roster and they are getting absolutely crushed, especially this pitching staff which outside of Shark, Garza, Marmol, Russell and maybe Camp or Travis Wood would not even make up a decent AAA staff.

This is as bad a team as I've ever seen and it is flat out embarrassing watching teams like WASH taking batting practice against this "staff".

Just bad.

I call it like I see it and given they just set a record for most players used at the ML level, it is obvious that the roster, especially the pitching staff, is being used for try outs only and the results are indicative of pitchers who would struggle at AAA let alone at the ML level.

12 home runs allowed in the last 18 innings? And not one opposing batter is beaned afterwards?

And this is ML baseball?

Even Svuem said this is men against boys. And he was right.

Wow.

Or they could throw better pitches. Either or. Beaning players for hitting home runs is indicative of an era long gone and the sport is better for it.

What exactly is your problem Cpguy?

Everyone knew the team was going to be bad this year. This is just all the predictions coming true. Personally, I hope they lose every single game for the remainder of the season. Bring on that #1 pick.

I really don't get your point. So you rather the Cubs pitches throw at the other team to send a message to stop hitting home runs? It's a historically bad Cubs team. We've known this since April. Are you just venting?

Houston has the number 1 pick locked up. Don't you look at the standings?

All I am doing is commenting on just how bad this pitching staff in particular is. Guys like 6' 8' pussy Chris Volstad are a flat out embarrassment and they have no business putting on the uniform.

Yes I am venting and yes, someone needs to be plunked in the ass. That's baseball, not pussy ball.

Plunking guys turns one run home runs into two run home runs. And then gets maybe Castro or Rizzo thrown at. Lots of bad ideas.

The Cubs are only 9 1/2 up on Houston. If the Cubs take my advice and lose every game for the rest of the season, Houston might catch them. But no, you want to light a fire under the Cubs. Why are you even watching meaningless September baseball?

When the bully is playing within the confines of the game, yes. Throw better pitches.

Yes

Alrighty then. Teach your kids how to stand up to adversity. Just take it. Do nothing. Bury your head in the sand.

Good advice.

Volstad should have thrown the barrel at a Nats batter. That's a platform I can support.

When one of the worst teams in baseball starts doing stuff like you are suggesting, they look like even bigger idiots.
