A harder listen:

Sox attendance talk

OR

Loud Bears fans when Cutler and crew are in the red zone

Both topics are far more interesting than Penn State or CTE talk.

A bad, forced and contrived show.

Goff telling us dumb fans why it's good to be quiet when the Bears are on offense and acting as if he and DannyB are the only ones in the world who watch and understand football. BernSTINE yelling and screaming like people were sacrificing babies in the stands.

PTFB.

None of them are all that interesting.

Too bad Bear fans won't listen to Cutler's plea.

You know who is great at watching line play? Jason Goff.

Agreed. He is so smart at watching football. You know? DON'T WATCH THE BALL!!! Watch the line play if you really want to know what's going on. Man, he is such a smart fan.

I can't believe they're milking this shit for a second day. It warranted 15 minutes yesterday tops.

I watched the line play and missed Cutler's TD to Jeffries.

Thanks jerks.

He sounds like a total asshole.

He was in Zach Zaidman's closet.

It sounded more like Jim Nantz than Doug Gottlieb.

I actually kind of find it funny you Bears fans don't get more pissed at the idiots that are loud when you guys have the ball. I think its embarrassing and ridiculous. Out of all the NFL games I've been to outside of Soldier Field, the fans always knew when to be loud and when to be quiet. But for some reason at Soldier Field there are always too many loud idiots making noise when the Bears have the ball. Hell, the Bears aren't even my team and I'm usually motioning at people to be quiet when I'm there. I just don't get it. The popular thing to do on this board is rip Bernstein for ripping on people who do this. I just don't get why you guys don't get more annoyed with the idiot fans.

Most Bears fans are annoyed with those people.

But to spend two days talking about it is ridiculous.

Yep. I've been to many Rams games, and that place is silent during the Rams few annual red zone visits. Don't bother making an attendance joke, because it was this way during the Warner-Faulk-Holt-Bruce years as well. I'll be there this weekend, too.

I don't think it was intentional. I know it's September 11th, but Gottlieb might have issues with his throat.

Do you know who told Goff to watch the line play? Bernstein. All of Goff's sports "truths" have been taught to him by Bernstein. All Goff does is recite Bernstein's bible as his own. I'm not saying it's all wrong either. I'm just saying that Goff learned it all from his boss.

Except Goff has this thing where he's gonna tell you how great he is at everything. Including watching sports. There is no bigger fan of Goff than Goff.

I don't think this is his first CBS sports minute. His last one was at a normal pitch. Can't wait for the re-airing in ten minutes!

Getting annoyed is one thing, but in the end, what the hell are we going to do about it? To incessantly talk about the same tired subject - Bears fans are mindless meatballs - from a different angle is just bad, lazy sports radio.

Fair enough. I guess it just blows my mind after years and years of this team being such a part of this city that fans never learned over time to stop doing it. I guess I find it more interesting that fans just haven't caught on to something that cities with teams for far rewer years know how to do. I'm hoping Cutler finally makes this happen. I also think the Bears could do a better job with "Quiet. Offense at Work" signage on the jumbotrons when the Bears creep to the red zone. I don't remember them ever doing that when I've gone to games there. If they haven't, you could almost put some blame on bears front office for this.

Next hour, Doug (or is it Jim Nantz?) will have another one, hopefully in English...

I have as well. That dome can get pretty loud when the Rams are on defense when the fans are into it, but they've always known to be quiet with Rams on offense.

It's gonna be even quieter in there when they move back to Los Angeles.

Earlier, Jason said "remember when Orlando got an NBA team and the p.a. announcer would have to yell 'TRAAAA-VEL-IIIIIING!!!'"? Well, I don't, because I was busy being three years old, but I do remember Dan telling that same exact story like a dozen times, so he must remember it, too.

Also a fair point. It does end up spreading to them talk about how they are the only two that know something about football or fan etiquette.

I agree. Bears fans that cheer when they are on offense are stupid.

But guess what? Cutler got his message across. It will be heard. Bears fans will now be quiet. It's a non issue now. Bernstein still wants to make it a big thing.
