While not posting as much, I still read quite often and I just don't see much of the entertainment that was once here about 6-12 months ago. Blame it on baseball if you will, but I enjoyed all of the posts during the summer last year. Is it sports talk radio that's been a bit boring as well this summer which has seen a slow down in posts on the MJH section? Or are we missing some of the old timers that made this fun? Which Hero do we need back?

For some reason, my option of Mr. Pickles is not on there. While I wouldn't vote for him, I figured some would.

I feel like this board is like wrestling. Was really good a few years back when the Monday Night Wars existed. Not as much talent top to bottom, but the top talent was by far the best group ever in the business. now there's a lot of talent out there, but no one knows to do with all of it and somehow guys like Mao (great Kahli) and andyROONEY (Lashley) get all the air time from what I know.

This board is like the stock market. You have rallies and corrections.
Right now we are trading in a range after the last correction of early May.
Trading ranges can be boring but you can still make money from them.
I think we are poised for a nice mid-summer rally.

I think that the wear of posting during the day has really worn down a lot of the posters. Posters on other message boards wait until night.

I also think that posting during the day is easier for the brothers and latino posters.

sports sucks ass right now. i have zero opinion on any of it. the three things that interest me currently are:

how is tiger doing?
where did jeff gordon finish?
is there any MMA on t.v.?

other than that...i could give a shit unless i'm at the baseball games or hanging with the CSFMB crew.

I don't think it's the fact that certain people are missing here as much as the subject matter. You cited the MJH board as lacking content these days. Perhaps it's because some of us aren't listening as much to shows that revolve so much around baseball. I still listen, but after about 15 minutes of groundhog baseball radio, I'm often gone to more diverse sports programming. I'm not an NBA or hockey fan by any means, but those sports' post-seasons are far more interesting to me than local baseball in the middle of a 6 month season The hosts in this town are heavily consumed with baseball and focus more on pre-season baseball, for example, than they do on post-season hoops. Hey it works for them I guess, but if you consider this board as a microcosm of the general listening population, many on this board apparently don't care nearly as much about baseball as the hosts do. And the postings on the board might reflect that. How many guys here really have the passion for baseball that they listen to these shows as much every day as they do during football or basketball seasons? People won't post as many comments about a show if they are not listening as much. Summer on the radio in this town is for the baseball nuts. We need the baseball guys like Anthony and Suckers Playground to kick their postings up a notch and let those of us who aren't listening regularly to know what new and interesting things have been said.

Also, If you think the board has cooled down in the other areas outside the show threads, then maybe it's other things that are working against the board. Maybe the rise of Mao has had a chilling effect on the board. Communists often have that effect on people.

This board will get better during football season.

I think it's a combination of things...radio shows not as good, posters leaving, sports aren't great right now, too many trolly people, etc.

I am a big baseball fan. However, I do not look to this board for serious baseball discussion. I appreciate it when it occurs, but there are other sites that meet that need much better.

I come here more for general topics.

Drinking & Driving, seat belt laws, racial, religious, and social issues, and those kinds of things?
