The Score has divorced people. So do the Chicago Bears. I wonder what they think of Mully's comments.

I bet will be tickled pink by the direct shot Mully gave him. Should make for interesting water cooler talk in between shows!

I imagine a good portion of the basketball players are cheating on their wives. I think that would make them bad fathers. Also being a basketball player it's not like you're actually around your kids for a lot of the time with the extensive travel schedule.

I dunno, Mini-D. It looks like Mac may be comin' in a bit early to work tomorrow to toss Mully's shit in the garbage can and drink the last of the coffee while not refilling it.

Mully strikes me as one of those old fashioned Irish-Catholics. You pick a women and stay with her forever. Doesn't matter if you fall out of love. Doesn't matter if you grow to hate each other. YOU NEVER GET DIVORCED.

Also, Irish-Catholics, are not gonna take father advice from a multi millionaire NBA player that doesn't have custody of his kids and spends the majority of nights drinking at night clubs and/or making it rain at strip clubs.

That's just the nature of Irish-Catholics. That's how they are. I've known a few.

So guys that have jobs with and extensive travel schedule and don't make millions of dollars must be really bad fathers?

Because "Team Bernstein" is always looking for racism. This is the sort of thing that sets off the alarm on the B&B show.

I know "Team Bernstein" will be quick to call Mully a racist. That's their nature. I'll defend Mully. Wade really can't write a book about being a good father when he doesn't have custody of his kids for the majority of the year. It would be like me writing a "How to get white women" book.

Are you suggesting that spending quality time with his children is part of what makes a good father?

I don't think he's a homersexual.

KS, did he respond favorably to your advances?

I'm saying my husband travels more than Wade and makes a lot less than him. I'm aware my kids have different life than most other kids and our situation is not ideal for anyone in the family. We do what we can. I would hope that people don't judge him as being uninvolved, absentee, or a bad father.

Work responsibility is differnet than not having custody.

Although I didn't know Wade won his custody battle. I remember reading about that fight in the Sun-Times.

I know most women win custody. Can't blame Wade for that. Although I think he's a phony. I don't believe him when he tells people that he's a great father. Just don't. He's always struck me as a con man. He lied a couple of summers ago when he said he was intersted in the Bulls. That was a con job.

What I do think Mully was specifically talking about was a guy who writes a book frowning on divorce and how it effects kids...but Wade gets divorced and he is a fine Dad.

I got my sources on Wade and in the NBA lifestyle he is a good dad.

In real life he is a D+ at best.

That's not what he said. His point was that Wade shouldn't be giving advice about fatherhood due to his divorce, which compromises his ability to parent effectively. Mully made no reference to Wade's position on divorce; rather, he was stating his own views.

Again, this point was not the main thrust of his argument, which focused on how Wade's privileged lifestyle insulates him from the realities that most fathers face. But he did express this opinion, if only in a sentence or two. As he was speaking, he probably realized his verbal blunder and thus tried to shift his position a bit. Nevertheless, he never retracted what I think was a pretty offensive statement, especially given the condescending tone with which it was uttered.

Wade really can't write a book about being a good father when he doesn't have custody of his kids for the majority of the year.

Wade won custody of his sons Zaire, age 10, and Zion, age 5, in 2011 in what was likely a first for a superstar athlete. He divorced their mother, Siohvaughn Funches, in 2010 after they separated in 2007. The divorce proceedings spilled onto the tabloid pages when Funches filed a lawsuit against Wade alleging his relationship with actress Gabrielle Union had caused emotional distress for the two boys.

I for one am highly anticipating him getting married and having at least 1 more child. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome baby Zimbabwe to the Wade family !!

There you go. He has to be judged within the context of the NBA. For example, in the NBA Phil Jackson is a genius. In real life he's a C student at New Trier.

Like Darkside, Mully prefers to get his advice on parenting from those who have no children at all.

This is accurate regarding a decent portion of South Side Irish Catholics

They're getting old though. Their kids arent as close minded and many are not catholic anymore.

Many reports that Wade ditched the family life for Gabriel Reece. No racism there. Just rumors....that may or may not be true
