Or am I crazy? Some girl wanted to beat my ass tonight over it. My head still hurts thinking about it.

From wikipedia
Quote:
the Blackhawks were viewed with much indifference by Chicagoans for much of the 1990s and early 2000s, due to anger over several policies instituted by late owner Bill Wirtz (derisively known as "Dollar Bill"). For example, Wirtz did not allow home games to be televised in the Chicago area, claiming it was unfair to the team's season ticket holders. He also raised ticket prices to an average of $50, among the most expensive in the league.

WTF?

Blackhawk home game were not televised until Bill Wirtz died & Rocky took over the team.

Home games weren't aired, road games were. They briefly tried a pay-per-view service called HawkVision, but it didn't take. Every now and then, ESPN would throw us a bone and pick up a home game, even when the team's best player was, like, Tyler Arnason.

I believe in 2007, the last Dollar Bill season, a few home games sneaked onto the CSN schedule due to the new Versus contract, which called for exclusivity while the extant CSN contract called for 41 telecasts. Thus, picking up a Blackhawks road game would bump a home game into a spot. This happened maybe twice.

Yes. This is what I said! Then she called me sweetheart and told me she was a nice person. She walked back into the bar and the bouncer said don't fuck with her she is crazy. Then some other guy said she was here a few nights ago and was a bitch to him too. He tried hitting on her and it didn't go well. Then we made fun of her and I left.

She butted into to my conversation. She found me. I stood there completely confused.

Where were you that random conversations about erstwhile Blackhawks television policies were arising?

Whenever you're confused & someone is mouthing off to you, just sock them between the eyes (you might need your husband to give you a boost). That'll clear up any confusion.

I'm not going to fight crazy, it makes them more mad if you just stand there and laugh at them.

There was a way to get home games before Wirtz died. You had to get a satellite dish, one of the old Telestar ones .I know this because I used to go to a bar over near Midway,Windy Cindys and watch them.

Sabin
Relm
Terra
Edgar

Relm quietly has the best magic power in the game. Cyan is redundant if you have Sabin already, and SwdTech is a pain in the ass compared to Blitz.

Cairo is old news, you're my new guy!

edit: Gau sucked though.

Sabin
Cyan
Terra
Edgar

All other parties pale in comparison.

 Thanks!

Gau- Getting all his Rages were kind of a pain & a LOT of them were garbage, but there were a few great ones. Being in constant Berserk after choosing a Rage is a negative. He always should be renamed "Gay", which would make his Veldt dialogue much funnier. Also the Veldt has the best music in the game. Rank: 11

Sabin- Probably the greatest offensive force in the game. Scratch that, IS the greatest offensive force in the game. Rank: 1

Cyan- Disappointing character. You would think w/ samurai swords his normal attack would be HUGE, but it's not. Rank: 7

Terra- Great magic user & Fighter. One of my favorites. Rank: 2

Celes- A lot like Terra, another of my favorites. Runic is very valuable in certain battles. Rank: 3

Locke- Underrated. Has great stats. He's much more than a theif. Rank: 5

Shadow- One of my favorite "characters". Interceptor's defensive & counter skills are extremely useful. His attack, though, is on par w/ Cyan's. Rank: 6

Edgar- The tools lose a little luster later in the game, but his fighting skills are superb. Great for being the "shield" of the party. Rank: 4

Strago- Learning his Lores was easier than learning Blue Magic in previous FF games, and he has some good ones. However, w/ Terra & Celes' fighting skills he falls below them in usefulness. Rank:9

Relm- Yes, she's the most powerful magic user in the game. Her sketch skill is "sketchy" (I never encountered the game freezing bug, though), but Control can be useful, but wastes a Relic slot. Rank: 10

Setzer- A fun character w/ cool "weapons". Slots isn't that useful for too long. Coin To$$ is valuable, but like Control, you need to use a Relic to get it. Rank: 8

Mog- Dances aren't that great. Though, his fighting skills are good. Rank: 12

Umaro- Berserk. All. The. Time. Rank: 14

GoGo- Mediocre stats, but can add extra abilities in the status screen, so s/he can be a 2nd anything for you (steal, blitz, lores, etc.). Can't use Espers. Rank: 13

Solid analysis.

THREAD HIJACK!

Go-to party for each FF (not doing FFIV because I havent played it in forever, still have it sitting on an emulator..)

FFVI: Sabin, Edgar, Cyan, Terra
FFVII: Cloud, Vincent, Cid
FFVIII: Squall, Rinoa, Irvine
FFIX: Zidane, Garnet, Steiner, Vivi
FFX: Tidus, Auron, Lulu (this game works a bit different with parties though)
FFX-2: Umm...Yuna, Rikku, Paine
FFXII: Vaan, Captain Basch fon Ronsenburg, Ashe
FFXIII: Lightning, Fang, Hope

Dude, you need to get on that. IV's a great one. Man, I wish I could find my PSX games. I haven't played some of those in too long. I really don't want to download a bunch of ISOs, but I'm really Jonesing to play some PSX Final Fantasies.

ePSXe is super easy to use, and final fantasy .ISO files are a dime a dozen, and most work extremely well.

You could grab them on PSN also.

It's just the size of the files. I have the space (about 50% of freespace), but I tend to get "addicted" to these things.

Final Fantasy IV is linear; you don't have a choice of party alignment. You always finish with Edge/Rydia/Cecil/Rosa/Kain.

If you do tackle it, make sure you get the translated Japanese "hardtype" that has truer dialogue and the specialties cut from our Final Fantasy II.

Tactics was awesome. I never finished it, but I did like that one a lot.
