Wifi issue is fixed, and Passbook/App Store are being worked on, apparently.

Use maps.google on the phone and wait for the app.

I use Waze, and always have for navigation...but for quick map checks, the embedded Google API app was always quick loading. This one isn't.

Then use Waze. I don't get why you are rolling back.

Ok, so the wifi issue takes a few more seconds, but works. The App store works, just takes 2 tries. And you don't like the maps, but you won't even use the ones on iOS5. Passbook doesn't work, but it's not available on iOS 5 either.

Are you just complaining to complain?

There are like 200 improvements in iOS 6. Complaining about things that work and 1 thing that doesn't that you won't use, doesn't make sense to me.

You're having trouble reading. On iOS 5, I use Waze for turn-by-turn and the default Maps app for maps glances (its strong suit was how fast it loaded.) Now that the loading speeds are crap, it is useless.

Passbook was the feature I most looked forward to in iOS6 - it does not work. So...there are multiple cons and no pros.

Except for the 200 other improvements, I guess.

While I'm not typically a fan of people having to adjust to an application as opposed to the other way around, I am willing to make an exception in this case.

As far as Maps go, am I correct in my assumption that most people probably try loading an address while driving instead of prior to leaving?

Which is exactly what people should be doing.

I guess if IMU's argument about Maps is that it is too difficult to navigate while driving, then it isn't a very good one.

Android is hit and miss. You can get a really shitty phone that runs on Android (as I once had) and it totally ruins your opinion on the OS.

I guess I just don't see the big deal with slower loading times. Now, a bigger issue that I am hearing is the inaccurate directions that Apple Maps appears to be giving people. However if users are loading in addresses and whatnot prior to their commute, then the speed of map rendering shouldn't be that big of a dissatisfier.

Honestly, not that frequently. I also have a GPS in my car, however, so I hardly used Google Maps for directions unless in a pinch. But even if I needed to scroll the maps, rendering times aren't really that big of a deal to me. I guess it is just user preference.

His concerns for Maps are valid, IMO. It doesn't seem to be a great app. The rest of the stuff he is just acting like a baby.

But the real issue, is telling people not to upgrade. So I'm sharing why people should.
