 Was a short scene, the guy only lasted about 30 seconds which is pretty amazing since he was
really drunk. Worked for me though as it wasn't a real comfortable scene to watch but served its purpose.

Finished last 6 episodes last night in a mini-marathon. Gonna be a long day at the office.
Overall I was happy with the series. I am afraid things are gonna get a little too "political"
for me next season but I hope they can bring in another threat and maybe another good agent
and spread their wings a bit. Maybe that isn't the way it is going to go. I am guessing Danes
won't be back, I thought she did a really good job playing her character. I loved her in Temple
Grandin and she has some decent acting chops. Not stunningly beautiful but could be great
as a supporting actress in almost anything you want to toss out there.

Bump.... this is back on Sunday evening. I am likely going to watch the last 2 or 3 episodes from last season
to try to remember everything that was going on.

How can you watch a show that demonizes public school teachers by portraying them as meth cooking, murdering psychopaths?

This show was a pleasant surprise last year. Season 2 trailer makes the season look promising

That's great and all, except the wife from "V" is hot. She looks like Catherine Bell when she has the long hair.

Nice start go the season last night.

So much for the nonviolence. Brody completes his first mission from Nazir. Then has to deal with his chascappopesque wife's freakout about him being Muslim.

Carrie gets the Pacino in Godather III treatment when Saul and Estes ask her to go to Beruit. After being initially hesitant, she seems happy at the end.

Dana and Brody burying the Qu'ran was odd.

Finally watched this last night and it was a good opener. That creepy smile that Carrie gives at the end of the episode
after racking that dude chasing her makes me really want to see the next episode. They also had a pretty extensive
preview of the upcoming season, at least the next few episodes and it looks really damn good.

Solid episode again.

Carrie and Peeps have eyes for Nazir, but Brody comes to the rescue.

Jessica cozying up to the VP's wife and military contractors doesn't sit well with Nick.

So that's where that pesky suicide video went.

Pretty good episode. I wasn't sure there was going to be much happening in this one but ended up
to be exciting at times and pushes the storyline along.

ok so now what?

I always suspected that Saul was a secret terrorist, I guess we'll find out for sure with that video.

Assuming he's not a terrorist, where does the show go now? The cat's out of the bag, can't really explain your way out of that video.

I don't think Saul will be a terrorist.

Maybe Estes?

Yea ive had my suspicions about Saul too.

Estes seems too gung ho but also makes some questionable decisions that make me wonder. BTW am i the only one who thinks he looks like black Sammy Sosa???

I was ready to be pissed at the beginning when I thought Saul had the confession taken away. Luckily it was a decoy.

Carrie got her vindication in the end. Nice.

I rarely watch a show live. Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy, ,Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones are about it.

Everything else is DVR.

Agreed.

I love this show but the "terrorist reality show-type challenges" with Brody seem contrived. I hope they get beyond that now and, I assume, try to turn him triple-agent.

Well that was unexpected.

That could change the show entirely.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Really, it HAS to. Only way out would be fore the torture to be unsuccessful and he has to go back without anybody else knowing. Not sure that's plausible.

Either way, this is a crazy good start to the season.

I imagine the plan is to flip in and make him a double agent and use him to get the big guy.

Good episode but I wish she wouldn't have busted him at the end. I am afraid we are going to get
2 hours or more of interregation scenes which may drag on a bit. If she would have left the bar
the show could have gone in so many other different directions. Still liking it though. Well written
and acted.

Since this is the CIA i doubt Brody will be tried for anything. He's gonna be used for some kind of agenda like bring down Nasir and the slate will be cleared but kept under surveillance.

Also does anyone else wonder why Brodys wife calls him Brody instead of Nick???

I don't remember the whole backstory of how they met or anything but maybe she knew him
in the military before they got together. Most of those guys use their surname stitched on
their uniforms.

From EW.com.... renewed for 3rd season

No surprise, but now it’s official: Showtime’s Homeland has been renewed for a third season.

Coming off last night’s ratings high for the sophomore series (1.75 million viewers at 10 p.m) — not to mention one heck of a plot twist — the Emmy-winning drama series starring Claire Danes and Damian Lewis will begin production on season 3 in spring 2013.

“The Emmy wins for Homeland have certainly set the stage for a great second season,” said Showtime president David Nevins in a release. “The writers, cast and crew of Homeland continue to create a remarkably entertaining and suspenseful roller coaster ride, growing audiences week after week. We can’t wait for our viewers to experience what unfolds through the rest of season two. Our partners at Fox 21 have been tremendous, and we are thrilled to begin the planning for Homeland‘s third season.”

What a great show.....got caught up last night and gotta think this is the most unpredictable show on t.v. with good writers/actors...have no idea where the show is going next.
