The only team that might be more powerful than McIlroy/McDowell is Sergio/Luke. I know the odds speak otherwise, but Donald and Garcia are rock-solid in team play.

early money agrees with you. Donald-Garcia rising and at -143, now higher than 2 Mac at some books.

I like Europe in 3 of the 4 (lean Tiger-Stricker) so maybe the better bet is to take Europe after day 1 at +160. Why day 1 leader has higher odds than the overall match is a puzzle,especially when foursomes odds give an edge to Euros.
