Mully asked Biggs this morning who he would take - Cutler or Romo? Mully went with Cutler while Biggs was less definitive. I then flipped to Mike & Mike who were touching on the same topic and heard Greenie dismissively say that it isn't close - Romo is an "infinitely better QB." Anyone agree?

They're both the same, the difference is Cutler is not a likable guy while Romo is.

I think BOTH Jay Cutler & Tony Romo are in the same boat. While Jay here and Tony down in Dallas will put up similar stats, I'm not so sure either quarterback will ever get their respective teams to their ultimate goal, and that's the Super Bowl.

Cutler could be better but they are the same guy at this point.

Quite frankly, I'd rather have the guy the Bears traded to the Broncos for Cutler and is now Romo's backup in Dallas sporting the #18 he used to wear here...

Kyle Orton.

I was thinking this exact same thing today. Probably a toss up but would go with Romo.

I can't believe how excited I was when the Bears got Cutler and now I could give two shits if he gets re-signed. It's not gonna work out. He's a unjustifiably cocky d-bag who will always blame others for his shortcomings. Great talent but seems like a guy who'll do just enough to get you beat.

Only thing that makes it even a question is Romo's age.

Romo is a loser. Not like a dork, but like he's simply not a winner. He doesn't win in big situations. Likeablity be damned, Romo is not a winner and I wouldn't want him at all.

You didn't. I couldn't help but think it was relative to the topic though.

Oh. Interesting.

Well Romo is still a loser.

I know you see my point.

By that logic/criteria Cutler is also a loser. Romo is a loser that puts up better stats. You'd rather have Cutler, or are you saying you'd rather have neither?

Cutler never really played more than that what two playoff games for the Bears? I don't recall him being nearly as individually as bad as Romo has been when he fumbled the hold on the field goal or the crying after the fumble.
Yeah. I don't think cutler is nearly the loser that Romo is.

Romo can put up some stats, which the Fantasy players cum over, but when the chips are down he's shit.

While Cutler hasn't played in as many playoff games as Romo by like a game or two, I really think Romo has stepped up more during the regular season games that seem to matter to his team more than Cutler has. Cutler had alot to prove in the game vs the Packers this year and he shit all over himself while Romo tore apart the Giants defense in the opening game of the season. Cutler has choked, I think in more games than Romo. I would take Romo 10 times out of 10.

it's probably hometown bias/stupid, but i'd still take cutler over romo.

whilst i'm far from an authority on the state of the dallas cowboys' offensive line over the last 5-7 years or whatever romo's reign has been, i know that cutler has generally had shit to work with and turned out some pretty nice performances despite the fact that he's had to work some magic in the pocket just to get the throws off.

i believe they both have the same number of playoff wins, right? a whopping total of.... 1. romo has had more time, a generally better offensive line, and i think we'd agree that he's had more weapons to work with on offense for a longer time than cutler has had (at least in his bears tenure) and they're pretty much similar.... i think cutler's got a better arm and being younger has more speed/mobility so theoretically, he's the better specimen and still has way more upside than does romo, but who knows/cares.... i'll take my chances with cutler.
