(CBS) As the Cubs continue their quest to avoid 100 loses on the season, they’ll wrap up this disaster season with a three-game matchup against the 106-loss Astros.

The Cubs currently sit a 99 losses, and if you’re interested in heading out to Wrigley Field one last time this season, you can do so for less than it takes to do just about anything in Chicago.

That’s right, two tickets in section 533, row 3 are listed for 19 cents apiece on StubHub.

Plenty of great seats still available…

This could be only the 2nd time in MLB history 2 teams with 100+ losses have played eachother. The first time also involved the Cubs

Yeah, and the Tigers gave the Sox plenty of chances to win. I said back in April that the Sox are their own worst enemy. The Sox lost way more than Detroit won. I wasn't worried about Detroit because they aren't that good. Turns out that the Sox have been a hellava lot worse in crunch time here.

Addison Reed and Nate Jones...solid bullpen arms at best.

Jose Quintana? Left-handed Randy Wells.

Alejandro De Aza? Dexter Fowler with less pop.

Dayan Viciedo? Latin American JJ Hardy.

Hmmm...Nate Jones and Addison Reed are more than solid bullpen arms RIGHT NOW, in rookie years, under heavy duress.

Dayan Viciedo is pretty comparable right now to Delmon Young, who is an everyday starter on a soon to be multiple division winning team

This isn't speculation like when a prospect is playing in rookie ball and the fans of his MLB team are already counting on him in the future.

I didn't want to throw Donnie Veal in there because it would upset you.

They were part of the package I bought at the start of the year. I knew this was coming. I'll probably end up going tomorrow but tonight.....no chance.

I will sell them to you for 12 cents less than whatever Boyd was offering.

The problem with that is the Tigers were 12-6 vs. the White Sox this year

I am not going to back off my statements. This was a very winnable division for the Sox, and they lost it. Its not like the Tigers have played .620 ball here in September. Sox had chances to win both of the final 2 games in KC, at least 1 in Anaheim, all 3 against Cleveland, and 3 of the 4 against Tampa. The Sox can only blame themselves for not winning this division.

But if the Sox had won, couldn't a Tiger fan say exactly the same thing? Honestly if you could trade the entire Sox team for the entire Tigers team, as a Sox fan, wouldn't you do it?

I would not. Sans Verlander out of it, I think the Sox have better pitching overall. The Tigers can bash the ball too, but they also kick it and throw it around way too much for comfort, and as we saw first hand here lately hitting can leave you at the worst possible time.

I'd have to diagree with you, Frank. The problems the Tigers have seem much easier to fix. Get a shortstop and/or second baseman who can pick up the ball and a better defender on one of the outfield corners. It shouldn't matter much how they hit. Even though they are going to score about the same as the Sox this year, I wouldn't look for that to happen again with the Sox probaby having the same team with a bunch of old guys one year older.

I love the opinion change on Epstein since he joined the Cubs

I know he only wins the World series in 20% of his seasons, and that he was the only GM to ever have steroid users on his team. But take it easy on him. Its been 5 years since he won a title.

And Sox fans, just wear this choke. Dont worry about what the Cubs are doing. The Cubs have nothing to do with this massive failure.

Report the entire story...like how he stepped into another person's team for his first world series...how he took advantage of budgetary/drafting inefficiencies that are no longer present in baseball to bulk up his farm system...how he got out of town one step ahead of the sheriff with this years team...how his free agent acquisitions of the past few years have started to look Hendryesque. There is certainly sufficient evidence to think that blind faith in Epstein is not warranted.

If the Sox got rid of all their high priced talent at the end of the year, they would be further along in a rebuild than the Cubs. If Theo had a draft of Sale and Reed you would fashion a laurel for him from the outfield ivy.

Enjoy another year ticked off your life with a sub .500 record and the assurance that next year will be yet another. Warm yourself over the winter to thoughts of Jackson and Vitters breaking out into everyday MLB players.

I will look back on this Sox year happy with good baseball, youth development and meaningful games until the last week of the season, though ultimately disappointed in the outcome.

Right.

Those two world series had nothing to do with Theo. He hasnt been successful at all.

Taking advantage of baseball rules is not a good thing for a gm.

The fact that he won in 2007 with a completely different pitching staff than 04 is not at all impressive.

You are talking to the wrong person. Im not blindly optimisitic, I just find the sudden shift in opinion on Epstein to be hilarious.

And if you are saying that Sale and Reed would be the top two prosepects in the Cubs system, you are mistaken.

I believe you were hating on LaHair. You posted like ten times in that thread about how he was going to come back down to earth and then you patted yourself on the back as a "realist" when your prediction (that was predicted by literally EVERYONE here) came true.

I believe that describes hating. If Im wrong, that's fine. But dont act like thats some thing I just throw out all the time.

I guess 26 is "young"

And projecting what Cub fans WOULD say IF they had them.

You are doing the opposite of taking it.

Not sure why dolphin is acting lke they are more than that. There are non Cub fans paid to rank these things.

There was nothing malicious directed at you. I apologize if it came off that way.

I just find it funny that this section has been overrun by Cubs fans who are claiming that Sox fans spend too much time worrying about the Cubs.

Quintana made his MLB debut as the 26th man against the Indians in a doubleheader earlier this year. Because of performance, he stayed in the rotation. You don't the potential is there for him to get better? Doesn't matter if he's 19 or 26, he was a rookie this year.

Reed and Jones seem to be more than just simply "usable" arms. They were also rookies, and should get better.

Viciedo needs to get better. He has power and a great arm. He didn't really hurt you defensively but he has to hit better than .250-260 to contribute. But again like the others this was his first FULL big league season, and he is young.

IMU has lost any and all credibility to compare young guys to MLB players when he said Brett Jackson could become Mike Trout.

Has Jackson gone back in time somehow? Last I checked he was 3 years old than Trout, so how can he be on the same pace?
