I can't imagine a more gravy job than VoiceOver work. It used to be beneath the great actors to do this, but they would go to Japan and do commercials. Now they all do it. Fuck credibility! Between that and voicing all the animated movies, these guys have found out how to make a fairly cush job even easier.

Even though he recently got busted, Fred Willard's still doing voiceovers for La Quinta. For many years, Gene Hackman was the voice of United Airlines. Until a few years ago, 720 WGN Radio's Jonathon Brandmeier was the voice doing ABC's prime time lineup. I kid you not!

Also, the voice of Sam Elliott has done commercials for...

"Guts. Glory. RAM." as well as "Coors. The Banquet Beer."

I kid you not! That's the voice of Sam Elliott. Also, remember when the White Sox won the World Series in 2005?

My wife hates it when I try to identify a voice-over actor. She simply wants to hear the dialog- especially in a movie. Yet I persist until I get it right.


Those Denis Leary F-150 commercials where he reads the words on the screen are my least favorite of all. I wish a rapid, painful loss of his voice.

It'll happen if he keeps smoking.
